A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 285 Answer

Sierra stammered as her eyes reddened with uncertainty.noveldrama

Theo suppressed the desire burning within him as he pulled her onto his lap. "Sierra, I would never hurt you. I acted on impulse just now. I'm sorry."

With his soft voice coaxing her, her ears grew red, and as she gradually relaxed, she didn't resist. Instead, she found a comfortable position and leaned into his chest.

After sharing a bed for half a month and waking up in his arms on a daily basis, she wasn't numb to the feelings stirring inside her.

She vaguely sensed that something about him was different tonight. At first, the realization made her anxious, but she quickly accepted it. He was wonderful, and it didn't seem like a bad idea if she were to spend a lifetime with him.

Most importantly, he truly respected and cared for her.

Even when he had kissed her without warning, he had stopped in time-perhaps sensing that she wasn't ready to take the next step. That was why she hadn't been afraid, although their sudden change in dynamic had left her feeling flustered.

It was because she trusted Theo.

The two of them were wrapped in each other's embrace until their emotions settled.

Theo's voice was low and gentle. "Sierra, don't be afraid of me. Also, don't run away. I'll never force you."

Sierra's heart trembled, and after a long moment, she finally nodded.

His face lit up with joy. Stroking her hair, he added, "Let me know when you go to a club next time. I'll pick you up."

She froze for a moment, then looked up at Theo. "I'm never going to a club again." Sierra chuckled.

She shot him a glare before something else crossed her mind. She tilted her head and asked suspiciously, "Wait a minute. I only went to the club because Maddy was heartbroken. What were you doing there?"

His smile deepened, clearly pleased that she was taking an interest in him. "I was meeting someone for a business deal. The club was just the mutually-agreed location.

"But the moment I walked in and saw you, I left without even meeting them."

Hearing his explanation, Sierra nodded in understanding. She wasn't done questioning him, though. "Do you guys always discuss business at clubs?"

He nodded and explained, "There's food and entertainment at clubs. They have a good atmosphere for hosting clients, but I usually leave right after finishing my meetings. Adrian will take care of the rest."

Last night, after dropping them off, Adrian had returned to the club to continue entertaining the clients.

Seeing her processing his words, he lowered his voice, asking, "Are you satisfied with this answer?"

She froze. Her face, which had finally cooled down, flushed again as she glared at him in embarrassment.

He chuckled softly before leaning down to place a light kiss on her lips...

After that night's kiss, Sierra finally came to terms with Theo's feelings for her. Their interactions had become subtly more intimate.

As there were no classes that day, she slept in until late morning. After breakfast, she headed to the piano room to continue working on her competition piece.

She still wasn't satisfied after playing two songs.

"They both sound great. Why do you look so troubled?" Standing at the door, Theo held a cup of coffee.

She lifted her hands from the piano keys, her face clouded with concern. "Ms. Anderson reminded me yesterday to finalize my selection soon. But this is my first time entering a competition like this-I have no experience."

If she chose a difficult piece, she risked making mistakes during the performance. Yet, she might not stand out if the piece was too simple.

He walked over and faced her across the piano. "These competitions go through multiple rounds of elimination. You don't need to pick the hardest piece right away."

Thinking about it, Sierra realized Theo had a point. Tapping the keys

absentmindedly, she suddenly looked up and suggested, "How about you help me

decide? Listen to both pieces and tell me which one fits better."

Theo, of course, wouldn't refuse. He smiled and nodded. "Alright."
