A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo)

Chapter 289 Tail

"Who's 'your dear'?" Theo asked coldly.

Douglas shuddered instinctively, quickly withdrawing his hand to scratch his nose. "I was just joking. You're acting so serious-aren't you afraid you'll scare off your new girlfriend?"

Sierra glanced at the three men with curiosity.

Daniel and Simon were both good-looking, with an air similar to Theo's. Though they weren't as distant as him, they still exuded an aura that warned people not to mess with them.

Only Douglas stood out, acting like a complete goofball. She hadn't expected someone like him to be part of Theo's friend group.

As she watched him repeatedly step on Theo's landmines, only to be swiftly put in his place, her earlier nervousness completely vanished. She quietly sipped her orange juice and enjoyed the show.

Little did she know, while she was sizing up Douglas, Daniel and Simon were also observing her.

Both were seasoned businessmen, sharp-eyed and perceptive. It only took them

a glance to see that Sierra wasn't one of those women who threw themselves at wealthy men.

However, her name did sound familiar.

Then, the private room door swung open again, and a round-faced young woman, cute and delicate in appearance, entered. However, the moment she spoke, she looked nothing like how she behaved.

"So, this is Theo's girlfriend?" came her comment. "Damn, she's gorgeous. How'd he manage to land her?"

Simon, who had the refined looks of a nobleman, reached out with a smile and pulled her to sit beside him. "Didn't you say you'd be late?"

The round-faced girl took a sip from his drink as if it were the most natural thing in the world, then grinned. "You texted me saying Theo brought a girlfriend. How could I focus on anything else? I rushed over to watch the drama unfold."

She glanced between Sierra and Theo, sighing. "I honestly thought he'd be single for life. Can't believe he actually tricked a girl into dating him."

Theo's expression darkened as he shot them both a warning glare.

Simon chuckled, wrapping an arm around the woman and whispering in a tone loud enough for everyone to hear, "Stop talking. Scare her off, and Theo might make you find him a replacement."

Sierra felt both shy and amused. Her cheeks flushed as her eyes sparkled with laughter.

"Hehe, I'm Yvette Clark." Then, with a curious expression, she extended a hand, asking, "What were you thinking when you agreed to be his girlfriend?"

Sierra shook her hand with a smile. Then, she glanced at Theo and replied sweetly, "I'm Sierra Shaw."

Their fair hands clasped together, but Yvette continued to stare at her, causing Sierra's blush to deepen. She lowered her voice and murmured, "Theo... is actually pretty great."

"Ohhh..." Yvette and the eavesdropping Douglas both let out teasing noises at the same time.

With her delicate features tinged with shyness, Sierra looked even more enchanting than usual. The group couldn't help but marvel at the fact that Theo had found himself such a beauty.

"Alright, enough. Sierra isn't as thick-skinned as you," Theo commented, reaching out to pry Yvette's hand away from Sierra. He also shot her a warning look.

Yvette, unbothered, covered her mouth and laughed so hard she nearly doubled

over.

With another woman present, Sierra felt even more at ease and started talking

more.

When Yvette found out she played piano, she sighed in admiration. "No wonder your hands are so beautiful."

Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she pulled out her phone and started scrolling. "I saw a news article a while ago... I think it was about you."

The three men, excluding Theo, immediately paused what they were doing. Douglas even craned his neck to peek at her screen.

"Aha! Found it!" Yvette's eyes lit up as she held up her phone and began reading aloud. "Marisol Cup Runner-Up Sierra and Her Relationship with the Grays..."noveldrama
