Chapter 1622
After biting and sucking the straw with a squeaking sound, Waverly inadvertently looked up to see the leaflets with red frames on the window not far away suddenly coming into her sight. With a flash of inspiration, she patted her forehead and ran forward.
"That's right! How could I not think of it?!"
Was there anyone who said that she couldn't buy a new house since she hadn't sold her old house? Even if there were no new houses available, there were second-hand villas to pick from!
"Welcome. Are you looking for houses? We offer new houses, second-hand houses, mansions with both two or three bedrooms, condominiums, residential villas, and so on. Several mortgaged homes are now available at a special price. No matter what you want, whether to reside or invest in the property, we can satisfy your needs..."
Throughout the service, the staff was enthusiastic in serving her tea and fruits.
Looking around, she saw that the real estate agency office was of medium-size with several customers. The workers seemed to be professional, so Waverly nodded and said, "Yes."
With that, she settled down at a table according to the receptionist's lead.
In the middle of a meeting with senior executives of the company, Seth, who received the information, whispered in Wyatt's ear.
With a slight frown on his brows, Wyatt turned to glance at Seth and said following a solemn nod, "Alright, let's call it a day! Come up with a plan before we discuss the rest of the details."
After sending off the group of executives, Wyatt rubbed his swollen temples, while Seth closed the door to say.
"Wyatt, the company is a well-known deceiving agent. I heard that it is 100% fraud. They won't give you the opportunity for a discussion since they will tear you down into pieces. Many people suffered a loss, but they can't do anything about it. It seems that the investors behind it are quite powerful, so although there have been several negative news, their operation is not affected in the slightest. Does Miss Castle want to buy a house? Won't you look into it?"
Was she needed to hire an agent to buy a house? If she wanted to purchase real estate, she could just tell the developer. Even if there weren't any units left, they would find a way to lay their hands on one, hence making sure that all the procedures were official and valid. There wouldn't be any messy disputes. Yet, she was lucky enough to select an agent known to cheat their clients!
Shaking his head, Wyatt said.
"Although she's not exactly smart, she isn't a fool! Purchasing a property is a serious issue, so she won't book it recklessly!"
What an unruly little fellow!
As his voice died away, Wyatt stood up. "Send our men to keep an eye on the Violet Castle Villa. Don't move anything. I want to know if it's an accident or schemed..."
To make it so obvious was what a fool would do.
For a time, Wyatt was a little uncertain. Had he overthought? Did the thieves not know their stuff, so subconsciously, they thought that electronic products like notebooks, mobile phones, and cameras were more valuable or easier to get rid of? After all, it was possible!
In Waverly's house, there were women's clothes, shoes, and hats in addition to plants as furnishing. If the thief were a man, he might not understand the variety of jewelry, making it hard to distinguish between genuine and fake products. To put it bluntly, luxury goods were a brand and design. The designs were either too exaggerated or simple. It was common for oxidative discoloration to occur. It was far less eyecatching and exquisite than in pictures found on display. Plus, she was not an avid collector of such luxury brands and would prefer simple styles that were not eye-catching on a daily basis. Since she would casually place them on the table, ordinary people or careless ones might not take them to heart.
It would be great if it had been an ordinary thief. He didn't wish for her to be entangled in such hidden danger.
"I see! I'll arrange it well!"
"Noted."
After checking his watch, Wyatt announced, "I'll leave then! I won't be back today!"
Getting up, he turned around to see that Wyatt had left the office. Seth was left shaking his head, muttering to himself, "I thought you weren't in a hurry."
It seemed that he couldn't sit still! Perhaps the last sentence was only the truth from the bottom of his heart! Picking up the phone on the table, a thought crossed Seth's mind as he followed Wyatt out.
"Alas, wait a minute..."
It was only when he came stridingnoveldrama
up to the door that Wyatt
remembered the car keys were not with him. He turned around and fished his phone out of his pockets. Just as he was about to ask his men to send it to him, he saw Seth catching up.
"Wyatt, I forgot to tell you that I thought you had a meeting, so the car was sent to be refilled its gas tank and for a car-cleaning service. Won't we be picking up our clients next afternoon? The other car was sent out for work purposes
Just as he was about to mention that he would check whether any of the manager's cars were available, he raised his gaze to see Trevor walking in, whirling his car keys in between his fingers. His thoughts were instantly interrupted.
"Master Trevor?"
His gaze swept past the parking lot to fall on the two of them. As he stepped forward, Trevor smiled. "Eh, there's such a grand formation? Did the prophet know that I'm here, so you came to welcome me?"
"Why are you here?"
"I'm out to see a friend. We met not far away, so isn't it on the way? It's rare to have the time to come over for a cup of coffee." He felt that it was necessary to remind Wyatt of something!
Halfway through Trevor's sentence, Wyatt strode forward to snatch the car keys in his hand. "I need the car. As for coffee, get it from Seth. You'll get back home in my car today! I have something urgent to deal with."
Hearing that he was idle, Wyatt took the car keys and strode towards the door.
"Alas!"
Alas, how could Wyatt not ask for permission before using his car? His hand was lifted midair, and Trevor could not help but be at a loss for words. "Is his buttock on fire? Sounds like I'm here to deliver the car to him!"
"Ha-ha..."
With a laugh, Seth respectfully reached out and invited, "Master Trevor, welcome
in!"
"Well, you don't have to be so polite with me! What's the rush? Is there anything going on?" Although he was not an outsider, he was a guest, so how could he be greeted in such a manner?
Remembering how the car was driven away, Trevor figured that Wyatt's cars might not be available, so he guessed that he might not be able to leave for some time. With the thought in mind, Trevor followed Seth in.
Trevor learned about the fact that Wyatt had ordered his men to report the news, but the rumors might be spreading falsehoods. He didn't know how much the original story had varied when it arrived in his ears. He was afraid that Wyatt would be fascinated by Waverly's beauty and hide the distorted truth of the matter. It was one of the reasons why he had come over, which was to have honest
communication with Wyatt.
As they walked and chattered, they entered the elevator. When no one else was around, Seth explained, "It's Miss Castle. She entered a real estate agent's office that is known for its notorious reputation..."
"Oh? Does she want to buy a house?"
While their casual chat went on, Trevor's eyes sank. How could he learn about such a trivial incident in such a short period? Did he send someone to keep an eye on her or protect her?
After gathering his thoughts, Trevor instantly had a clear idea in his heart. He must have been over-worried!
What do you think?
