Chapter 230
Bradley POV
I leaned on the door for a long time, filling my lungs with her smell. She was all I wanted and I had already started on how to go about it. Morelli had to come down. But I knew that I had to be extremely quiet about it. And I needed help from my father, Alpha Lucien. There was a week’s time for the next Luna trial, and in that much time, I was going to cause mayhem, but quietly.
The night was quiet, and the pack lights shimmered as I sat in my office contemplating Morelli’s empire’s dealings. The mafia boss’s tentacles reached deep into the underground world. He ran casinos where he laundered millions in dirty money. It was time to bring his house of cards crashing down. Father had agreed to help, and Beta Tarian, was overseeing the operation in the human world.
I leaned back in my chair, staring at the files on my desk as father studied the files in front of him. In the last few days, we had gathered enough intel to know that Morelli’s casinos weren’t just for fun and games. The whole thing was a front for his money–laundering operations. It was clever, but not clever enough for us.
My father was a strategic mastermind. Having known humans for a very long time, he understood the complex of the underground world. He knew exactly how to take it apart without leaving any trace because he had a lot of contacts in that world, starting from politicians to a small–town schoolteacher. He instructed Tarian to dig through Morelli’s casino’s financial records. And that’s where Tarian found the missing link–the mule accounts where the dirty money was flowing through.
But the question was how to take Morelli down without tipping him off.
I had a plan in mind, but I needed to make sure it worked. It was risky, but it was the only way to hit him where it hurt most–his wallet. If we could shut down his casino operations, we could cut off his income. Without that, he’d be vulnerable, and that would be the opening we needed.
“Bradley, are you sure about this?” Tarian’s voice crackled over the phone, bringing me back from my thoughts.

“I’m sure, Beta Tarian,” I replied, rubbing my temples. “We’ve got everything in place. We just need to move fast and hit him hard. If we do this right, he won’t even know what hit him.”
“You’ll have to be careful,” Tarian warned. “The casino’s security is tight, and if Morelli catches wind of this, he’ll retaliate. We need to be smart.”
“I know. That’s why we’re going undercover,” I said, a hint of a smile tugging at my lips. “I’ve got a few ideas.”
The plan was simple but effective. We would infiltrate Morelli’s operation by posing as high–rolling gamblers looking to launder some of our own money.
“Are you ready for it?” I asked him, glancing at Dad who had a smug smile on his face.
Tarian had already arranged for Noris to help with the fake identities. He had brilliantly gained access to the casino’s financial records and uncovered any illegal activity without raising suspicion.
A pause later, he said, “Alright. Let’s do this.”noveldrama
The next day, Noris and I met with Tarian at a secluded location just outside the city. We had to be discreet. The last thing we wanted was for Morelli’s people to catch onto us before we were ready.
“You ready?” he asked, his eyes scanning the surroundings.
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” Noris replied, adjusting his jacket. He had changed into the persona of a wealthy investor, complete with a suit and tie while I was his assistant with glasses and dark eyes. Tarian had put together a cover story for him–someone who was looking to invest in the casino business, and who also had some unsavory connections that Morelli could exploit.
While Tarian stayed in the car, Noris and I walked into the casino. Father had sent a dozen wolves for security. They formed a layer of protection around
- us.
The place reeked of money, with flashing lights, high–stakes tables, and the buzz of constant gambling. Inside, the lights were dim, and the air was thick with the smell of expensive cigars and alcohol.

Chapter 230
Morelli had built a kingdom, and tonight, we were going to watch it crumble, I could see Morelli’s men standing guard at every entrance.
Noris and I approached the VIP lounge. When Noris showed his card, a man standing by the door nodded at Noris. “This way, he said, guiding us through a hidden corridor that led to a back office.
The office was luxurious, with dark mahogany furniture and a large desk. A few minutes later, the manager of the casino, a man named Marco, walked in He was tall, broad–shouldered, and had the air of someone who’d been with Morelli for years.
“Mr. Notis,” Marco said, extending a hand. “It’s a pleasure
eet you.”
Noris shook his hand firmly. “The pleasure’s mine. I’ve heard a lot about this casino.”
Marco beamed. “We pride ourselves on discretion, Mr. Noris. And
Noris gave him a tight smile. “That’s exactly what I’m hoping for.”

Marco asked us to show the proof of our finances. Noris had already created a fake account. And when Marco looked at the numbers, his eyes went wide in surprise. “Don’t worry!” he rasped. “We will help you out.” Greed was evident in his eyes and I hoped that he took the bait easily. After checking the details, finally, Marco left to get some paperwork, and that’s when I motioned to Noris.
“Do it,” I whispered.
Noris moved quickly, slipping behind the desk and accessing the casino’s system. Within seconds, he had pulled up the information we needed. I could feel my heart race as I watched him work.
“There it is,” Noris said, glancing at the screen. “A few large transfers under false names. This is where the money is being funneled.”
I nodded. “Copy it and let’s get out of here.”
Marco returned with some forms. “You’ve got to fill these. You can return tomorrow,” he said with a grin.
We didn’t waste any time. As soon as we had the evidence we needed, we made our way back out of the casino. But we weren’t done yet. Now, it was time to finish the job.
We went over the details of the casino operation and the money laundering activities. Dad’s eyes darkened as he processed the information over the video call.
“This is worse than I thought,” Lucien said, his voice low. “You’ve done well, Bradley. We’ll make sure he pays for everything.”
Tarian said, “We have to move fast. The longer we wait, the more time he has to detect this.”
Lucien nodded. “I’ll handle the law enforcement side. You focus on realizes what’s happening.”

Within the next four days, we heard the news that Morelli had to shut down his casino business abruptly. The CIA was chasing his men like rabid dogs.
