Of The Bea 298
Almost instantly, the two male lions excitedly pounced on her, gently nipping at her neck and tail.
Nyx could hear their hearts pounding loudly in their chests. She closed her eyes, feeling both nervous and embarrassed
But whether it was because the two males hadn't coordinated their actions or for some other reason, after a long wait, things didn't progress further.
Nyx secretly peeked at them with one eye.
Despite their overwhelming desire, they still held back, not intending to do anything to her. They simply stayed close, holding her.
Adolescent lionesses typically don't participate in reproduction. Though they've outgrown their fragile cub stage, they aren't fully mature yet.
"No rush, Nyx," Felix said hoarsely. "We'll wait until next year."
Nyx was stunned. "But the rainy season is still so far away."
She thought, 'Would we really endure like this until then?'
"It's fine." Theon held her tighter. "This is enough for us. We're already satisfied.*
They were Nyx's chosen mates, destined to be with her forever. No matter what, they would never harm her.

A gentle, cool breeze swept by. At first, scattered raindrops fell, and then the rain gradually intensified, enveloping the savannah in a misty haze.
The green grass sprouted tender shoots, and everywhere was filled with vibrant life.
The lionesses and the male lion created new lives in this spring rain.
Meanwhile, Nyx slept soundly beside her mates, the three lions huddled closely together, forming their own little world.
This peaceful state lasted only a few days before the territory returned to quietness-the three male lions had disappeared.
Curious, Nyx went to investigate.
Hearing her question, Yaya lazily rolled over. “I chased them all away."
"The cubs are already on the way. What use do we have for them now?"
Being with them was solely for reproduction.
The lionesses desired to bear cubs with stronger males, so Yaya's first choice had been Theon and Felix.
But since they weren't interested, she couldn't force them and had to settle for her ex-mate instead.
"If they stayed, we'd have to hunt and provide for them," Yaya said matter-of-factly. "Of course, I had to drive them away."
Nyx thought that made sense.
In Yaya's eyes, all male lions were tools-including Theon and Felix. They were useful tools for defending the territory without requiring the lionesses to hunt for them.

"When you have cubs, I'll help you raise them." Nyx offered, not minding being a tool lion herself.

Lion cubs were incredibly adorable. When she first came into this world, she had even spent days admiring her own fur.
"Sure!" Yaya nodded happily.

By the end of the rainy season, over a dozen cubs had been born in the territory.
As their due dates approached, the lionesses temporarily left the pride, hiding away to give birth alone. They only returned with their cubs after a month.
Nyx brought a waterbuck to visit, with Theon and Felix following behind her.
The cubs were curious about everything, but the lionesses were on edge.
Only after confirming that Theon and Felix showed no aggression toward the cubs–who weren't their own-did the lionesses finally relax.
Yaya, in particular, was bold.noveldrama
She handed over its cubs directly to Nyx, fulfilling Nyx's wish to play with the little lions and freeing herself up.
After having fun outside, she came back and was surprised to find that Nyx had taken great care of the cubs. Those mischievous little ones were all well-behaved in front of her. She couldn't help but be amazed. “Nyx, how do you manage to handle the cubs so well?"
Yaya thought, ‘If I remembers correctly, Nyx has left her pride at a young age and has been away from her mother. She hasn't learned anything from others, nor has she ever had cubs. Even if lionesses are naturally good with cubs, it shouldn't be this easy for her.
Nyx stammered. She didn't know how to explain. The truth was, she had given birth to two cubs herself. "Maybe it's just instinct," she muttered, "Theon and Felix are also really good with cubs."
"Yeah, I guess so." Yaya nodded thoughtfully, accepting the explanation. She mused, 'If even male lions could raise foreign cubs under certain circumstances...
With Yaya leading the way, other lionesses started eagerly bringing their cubs to Nyx.
Nyx, with her twenty-plus years of experience in raising cubs, had become trustworthy, and the number of cubs around her grew. She quickly became the head of the nursery.
Every day, she had a blast squeezing the fluffy little lions, using her position to her advantage.
The lionesses, with a bit more free time, were also able to take a breather and were quite happy.
Only Theon and Felix weren't happy.
Their time with Nyx had been taken up, and they were really annoyed. But they didn't want to take away her hobby, so t just had to deal with it.
This was way harder than the male instinct during the rainy season.
Whenever they had free time, they would cuddle with Nyx and lick her fur. This sweet moment lasted them until the next rainy season.
A year later, Nyx had grown a bit more mature, and the hormones of an adult lioness made both male lions dizzy with

attraction.
Realizing they needed some alone time, the lionesses tactfully took their cubs away.
The little lions, reluctant to leave Nyx, threw tantrums and rolled on the ground.
"No!"
"I don't want to leave!"
"Nyx!"
"I want to hear Nyx tell stories!"

The lioness, impatient, swatted them on the head with her paw. “Shut up. Nyx has more important things to do, she doesn't have time to play with you.”
The little cubs, overwhelmed by the harsh scolding, drooped their heads and quieted down.
"Mom is so mean."
"Nyx is better."
When the lioness wasn't looking, the cubs snuck to Nyx's usual spot but found she wasn't there.
They searched everywhere but couldn't find her, and not long after, they were caught and dragged back by
their mother.
"Where did Nyx go?" the little lions, still teary-eyed from being scolded, asked while looking for her.
"I told you already, she's very busy lately," the lioness casually replied.
As for what she was busy with, it wasn't something that could be explained to cubs in a few words.
Along with Nyx, two male lions had also disappeared.
Even though they tried to avoid the pride, the lionesses knew exactly what the males were up to.
Sending the clingy cubs off to play, Yaya smiled teasingly, "Hope Nyx is alright."
In lion prides, it was usually one male lion with several females. But for Nyx, she had to handle two of the most powerful lion kings. The outcome was easy to guess.
Beneath the beautiful acacia tree, the two male lions affectionately rubbed against Nyx, asking ceremoniously,
"Nyx, can we stay with you forever?"
Nyx looked up and kissed them. "Yes."

In her drowsy state, Nyx felt the weight on her body lighten. She turned her head, thinking she might be
hallucinating.
The two male lions had vanished, and in front of her were two familiar human faces.
Nyx's gaze froze on their chests.
