Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 1058

Chapter 1058:

Andrew’s silence hung heavy in the air, turning the car’s atmosphere arctic.

The assistant swallowed his tension, flooring the accelerator and speeding toward the Vettel family’s manor as silence thickened around them. Traffic thinned along with city lights, and a glance in the rearview mirror sent ice through his veins.noveldrama

“Mr. Klein, it seems like we’re being followed,” the assistant said in a panic.

Andrew’s eyes snapped open, razor-sharp as they tracked the approaching obsidian vehicles. “Left,” he commanded.

The assistant yanked the wheel at Andrew’s command, their car diving into a side street, leaving their pursuers momentarily disoriented in their wake.

“Keep driving.” During this risky moment, Andrew projected outward calm, yet his vice-like grip on the phone betrayed his inner tension.

While they navigated these immediate dangers, his thoughts raced to Madisyn’s unknown fate.

The vehicle hurtled forward at dangerous speeds, making driver exchanges impossible. Fortunately, the narrow streets kept their pursuers at bay. The assistant exhaled with relief, but Andrew remained battle-ready.

As they prepared to exit the road, Andrew issued a firm command. “Head to the construction site. We’ll disembark there.”

Despite being new to working directly with Andrew, the assistant recalled his briefing’s cardinal rule: Andrew’s judgment was absolute. Even as Andrew’s current directive seemed perilous, their pursuers posed a far greater threat.

The assistant maintained their dangerous pace. As they crashed into the construction zone, he clenched his eyes shut, praying the luxury vehicle’s safety features would shield them from harm.

The black cars had materialized like shadows—Mafelen wasn’t as secure as Lorpond. Fortunately, the assistant had arranged security details for Andrew’s operations today.

When their vehicle breached the construction area, their backup teams, having evaded their own pursuers, quickly converged on Andrew’s location. “Mr. Klein, are you okay?”

The assistant shook off his disorientation. Even with all safety measures in place, the impact, crash, and shower of broken glass had left him disheveled. “I’m fine.”

Andrew got out of the car and saw the bodyguards rushing over.

“Give me your gun and take him to the hospital,” he said to one of the bodyguards, pointing at the assistant. The assistant, still conscious, was deeply moved when he heard Andrew’s words. But he held onto the deformed car frame, refusing to leave.

“Mr. Klein, those people want to kill you. I can’t leave.” The assistant wanted to stay with Andrew, intending to protect him from the enemies. However, Andrew cut him off directly.

“Go to the hospital and have your injuries checked. I’ve already contacted the police. The others and I will hold off until they arrive. You will not be of much use here.” Andrew spoke very fast, not giving the assistant any time to delay. Then, he coldly led the bodyguards to disperse into the nearby construction site.
