Chapter 760
She ran off with another man, taking both kids with her.
Just how drop-dead gorgeous must that woman be, to get a guy to accept not one, but two kids that aren't even his?
The only explanation: neither of those kids are Blaise's.
The butler shook his head. "Looking at it now, that's probably the case."
Stella grinned. "Well, then I don't think Blaise is going to survive this." "Huh?"
The butler looked puzzled.
She shrugged, "He'll be so mad, it'll kill him."
After all, she was the woman he used to treat like a queen. He'd given up a ton of business assets and even walked away from all sorts of deals with Claudia Lawson just to be with her. Even if it cost him everything, he was determined to leave that family behind for her.
That's how much she meant to him.
Now she's run off-kids in tow, with another man. There's no hiding it; those kids can't be his.
The butler smirked, "Yeah, he might just drop dead from the shock."
If he survives this, the man must be made of steel.
Just then, Stella's phone buzzed-Ronald was calling.
"Make sure you eat dinner tonight, and no picking at your food, alright?"
"You're not coming home?"
"I'll be late. Be good, okay?"
"Alright, I got it," Stella replied.
He sounded just like a husband letting his wife know his schedule-her heart felt
all warm and fuzzy. But every time he said he'd be late before, he'd end up back home before she could even finish her coffee.
He was being extra clear this time. Maybe he'd actually be back soon.
...
She'd barely hung up when a maid knocked at the door.
"Miss, Mrs. Schultz-Mona Haig-is here to see you."
Stella glanced at the butler.
He frowned, tilting his head in warning. "Probably about Regina Schultz."
Hearing this, Stella remembered-Mona Haig was Regina's mother.
Stella had been back for a while, but Mona hadn't come looking for her. Now, finally, she was here.
Three years ago, after that whole mess, Ronald had crushed the Schultz family- left them in ruins. Regina, who was mixed up in it, didn't get off easy.
"Tell her to get lost," Stella said, blunt and cold.
She had no interest in seeing Mona. Frankly, there was nothing left to discuss about Regina—the case was closed.
The maid nodded and left.
The butlerdooked at Stella. "Pretty
much all the Schultz family's
are in Mr. Ronald's hands
now Xander barely got away with anything."
Stella remembered. Back then, Xander had been chased all over the globe. As far
as Ronald was concerned, the entire Schultz family was finished.
"The Schultz family will never be what it was," she said quietly.
But there was one thing about Regina she never quite figured out-Tristan Schultz's attitude. Ever since that incident three years ago, Tristan seemed to have washed his hands of Regina.
The maid came back in, looking flustered.
"Miss?"
"What now?"
"Mona says if you won't see her, she'll kneel at the front gate until you do."
Stella raised an eyebrow.
Seriously? Pulling this kind of stunt? No wonder Tristan never really acknowledged her position in the family. This was just pathetic.
Stella snorted. "If she wants to kneel, let her. I'm not her priest."
She'd barely even met Mona before, and there was no reason to show mercy to
the Schultz family now.
The maid left again.
The butler studied Stella. "I doubt Mona's just here about Regina."
"I know. It's about her son-Yale Schultz."
Mona hadn't come to her for Regina all this time. Now, all of a sudden, she show's up? It had to be more
than just Regina. Something biet
must have happened with the Schultz family-maybe something that involved Yale this time.
Out at the gate, Mona could hardly believe what the maid told her.
“She... she actually said that?"
Mona's voice was icy.
The maid nodded, "So, Mrs. Schultz, you can kneel as long as you want. That's her answer."noveldrama
Mona was speechless, seething.
That brat—who did she think she was? Just an adopted daughter of the Quinns, and even if she was about to marry Ronald, she had no right to be so smug.
What do you think?
