Escape From My Step Brother's Dangerous Obsession (Skylar and Callias)

Chapter 155

Third POV Ella accidentally cut her finger while opening the package and quickly had the servant bring the first aid kit to disinfect it and apply a band-aid to it.

Ignoring the slight twitch of her right eye, Ella continued to unpack the parcel. However, when her gaze fell on the contents inside, she let out a horrifying scream and threw the box away.

Her father stood up from the sofa and asked, "What's wrong?"

His eyes narrowed when he saw what was thrown out of the box.

He glared at the servant and said sternly, "Why did you bring such a thing back?"

The servant looked innocent and frightened, "Sir, I didn't know what was inside the box."

Ella's father's face turned even uglier, "Remove the item first."

Ella's mother comforted her daughter, who was trembling with fear, sitting beside her.

With an unpleasant expression, the servant reluctantly picked up the item from the floor and said, "Sir, there's also a photo in the box."

Ella's father walked over with a serious face and asked, "Let me see."

Handing the photo over, the servant watched as he looked at the image of a man lying on the ground like a puddle of mud, with half of a finger discarded beside him. The sight made him feel nauseated He realized that someone sent this to Ella. He threw the photo in front of Ella and asked, "Have you seen the person in this photo?"

He never expected that his usually sensible daughter would be involved in so many inappropriate things lately.

Ella widened her eyes in shock at the person in the photo and her voice trembled, "How can it be him? Didn't he leave?"

Seeing his daughter's reaction, Ella's father was sure she knew the person in the photo.

He sternly demanded, "What's going on? Please explain it clearly to me."

Terrified, Ella burst into tears. She thought sending Rob Lecter abroad would end all their troubles, but she didn't expect that someone would trace all the way abroad and back to this country.

Seeing the situation, it seemed that Rob was caught and had even revealed her involvement.

With her secret exposed, Ella tearfully explained the whole story.

She did not dare to care about it anymore as she cried and explained the ins and outs of the matter.

Ella's father was so angry that he slapped her across the face, causing her cheek to be red.

He looked at his usually well-behaved daughter in disbelief. He never imagined that her current predicament was entirely her own fault.

Ella's mother was both angry and heartbroken, scolding, "You foolish girl, how could you do such a thing?"

Ella's father, his face grim, said, "It's

too late to say these things now. We have to think about how to deal with this situation. The fact that this person was able to send these things to our house means they are not an ordinary person. We must find a way to handle this; otherwise, it will be trouble sooner or later."

Crying, Ella added, "I didn't expect things to turn out this way. I sent him abroad."

Her father interrupted her, "You fool! There are no secrets in this world. When you did these things, you should have thought about the

consequences. If others find out net

about this, then the person who tampered with the tea that night will undoubtedly be you. I'm afraid that you may have offended everyone involved."

Ella cried but did not dare to say a word.

Her father, with a cold expression, thought for a moment and said in a menacing tone, "We must suppress this matter. I'll arrange for someone to investigate first. If the person is easy to deal with, I'll take care of it personally." As he spoke, he made a ruthless throat-slitting gesture.

He continued, "If the person is not easy to deal with, then as a last resort, I'll take you to apologize and find a way to make amends. We can't let such a small incident ruin our standing in Mediopolis."

Ella's father's career was built and focused on personal connections, and he didn't want his daughter to ruin all the efforts he had made over the years because of this incident.

The next morning, Ella's father received news that the person was sent by Lukas Strakovski, and his face immediately changed.

He stopped Ella, who was planning to get her marriage certificate, and said, "Pack your things now and come with me to meet Lukas Strakovski."noveldrama

Ella's expression turned unpleasant, "I'm supposed to get my marriage certificate today. If I can't get it, what if Gerald changes his mind again? I don't want my child to be born a bastard."

Ella's father was trembling with anger, "You still have the nerve to say these things? If it weren't for you, how could this situation have occurred? Do you know who sent this person? Lukas Strakovski He is not someone we can afford to

offend, so stop messing around with me and just follow me."

Ella didn't take it seriously, as she knew it was not easy for Lukas Strakovski to offend him.

However, she didn't understand Lukas Strakovski, as well as her father, so she was indifferent and responded with a touch of defiance, "He's just a CEO of a jewelry company. What are you so afraid of? Let me get my certificate first, and then I'll go with you." Her father was so angry that he raised his hand to hit her again, but her mother quickly held him back, saying, "Let's solve the matter properly. Don't hit our daughter."

He pointed at Ella and said, "You fool! You don't even have the slightest idea of how powerful Lukas's background is. If he were just a mere CEO of a jewelry company, without other abilities, he would have been killed countless times by now. Did you get me? Now, come with me to - Before he could finish his sentence, a servant rushed in, interrupting him. "Sir, the police are here." The servant stated, her voice panicked
