Chapter 757
Brian seemed to find her noisy. His frown deepened. He held the books and stood up to leave.
Sharon didn't give up and chased after him. "Brian. Why are you so heartless?"
Brian walked out of the library. Then, he took a taxi back to the hotel.
Brian had been looking up information and taking notes for the entire night.
It wasn't until dawn broke that he lay on the table and dozed off for two hours.
When he got up in the morning, he cleaned up the stubble on his face, changed into clean clothes, and went to the research center with the notes he'd taken the night before.
Brian had brought chocolate and some colorful candies today.
He had asked the doctor and learned it wouldn't affect Austin's health to eat some sugar.
Brian sat by the bed and fed Austin candy. Grace's gaze landed on the notebook on the table.
She took it and flipped it open for a glance. Brian wrote the information about treating autism in children neatly on it. He also highlighted some important points with a red pen.
Grace could tell that Brian had made preparations seriously because she realized that what Brian said to Austin today was gentle and guiding.
Austin was not as dull as usual. She would raise her head and look at Brian because of his words or actions.
'It seems that he plans to treat Austin's illness personally.' A strange feeling appeared in Grace's heart.
The father and daughter interacted gently and peacefully. Grace quietly left the room.
She went to the washroom at the end of the corridor and bumped into an uninvited guest.
Sharon crossed her arms and looked at Grace arrogantly. "Long time no see. Shall we have a chat?"
The two of them walked to a secluded path.
Grace looked at her expressionlessly and said indifferently, "If you want to say something, say it. My daughter is still in the ward."
Sharon raised her chin and looked at Grace's plain face.
Grace had no makeup on and her face was very pale. Although her skin was
good, her face without embellishments still looked haggard.
Compared to Sharon's fiery red lips, her aura seemed slightly weaker.
Seeing her like this, a sense of superiority rose in Sharon's heart She curled her lips and said, "Do you think you're worthy of Brian? Look at you now. You'll only become a burden to Brian."
Faced with her provocation, Grace's expression didn't change. "Is that what you wanted to say?"
"You-"
"Who are you to Brian? Do you have the right to care if I'm a burden to him?"
Sharon sneered. "I'm indeed no one to him now, but in terms of famil background, I'm more suitable for him than you. He'll be mine sooner or later."
Grace's face finally showed a trace of expression. She frowned slightly, and there
was a trace of impatience in her eyes.
"You should tell this to Brian. It's
useless to tell me. I'm not his wife. Even if you, as a mistress, want to be Mrs. Francis, I can't give it to you. You should work harder at Brian." noveldrama
Sharon was so angry that her face turned pale. But she couldn't win against Grace.
"You! How can I be with him if you don't leave him?" Sharon asked.
Grace raised her eyebrows. "Haven't I left? He came to look for me himself."
These words were hurtful and insulting.
Sharon felt that she had been severely humiliated.
"Grace." Sharon pointed at her nose. She disregarded her image and cursed, "Don't be ungrateful."
What do you think?
