Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right

Chapter 1241

Marion came out of the house and glanced at Drake, who was about to leave.

"I'll say this once," he started.

Drake paused from opening the car door.

"I was wrong," Marion continued.

Drake turned to look at him.

Debra thought this might be a heartwarming moment of reconciliation, but Drake

only said, "Screw your apology."

He climbed into his car, slammed the door, and sped off.

Debra was stunned, looking at Marion. "So, does this mean you made up?"

"Don't know. Don't care," Marion replied, taking her hand in his. "Let's go back."

Debra followed him back into the hall, where Theda was cleaning up Robert's

face.

She grumbled, "Does it hurt? Weren't you so tough just now?"

Robert remained silent, keeping his head down.

While tending to him, Theda turned to Debra, who had just walked in. "I need to

have a private word with you."

Erica protested, "What can't be said in front of us?"

"This is important," Theda replied. "I can only tell her."

"Alright, let's talk upstairs," Debra agreed.

Theda put down the medicine and told Robert, "Stay here and wait for me."

Robert nodded quietly. "Okay."

...

Once they were inside a guest room, Theda started, "Debra, I'm just like you."

"What do you mean?"

"Do you remember the first time we met? I said the same thing to you."

Debra did remember. She'd felt

uneasy back then but hadn't given it

much thought. After all, the concept

of reincarnation was absurd enough

on its own.

"Are you saying you're also..."

"I mean, the one working for those behind the scenes isn't Robert. It's me."

"That I already knew. You didn't need to bring me up here."

She'd always known that Robert

held Theda above all else and that

building something as massive as

Buchan Entertainment would've

been impossible without help.

"Then why didn't you ever ask me who they were?"

"You wouldn't have told me even if I had asked. Are you ready to tell me now?"

"What Robert knows, I know too. In fact, I know even more. It felt like a dream, but

I did live my life all over again."

Debra's heart skipped a beat. For the first time in this new life, she'd found her

kind.

"Were you also..."

"Yes, I was reborn. I was sent to the

countryside as a child and lived a

miserable life. Eventually, my family

brought me back because they had

no heir. My widowed aunt

manipulated me for the family

fortune, leading to my and my

mother's tragic deaths. When I got a

second chance, I used what I knewnoveldrama

from my past life to change my fate.

I think we're the same because, in

my memory, you died in childbirth

after marrying Juan."
