Juan's tone was filled with cold mockery.

"Thought I was stuck on petty feelings and wasted my life because of you?" Juan scoffed. "You're overestimating yourself. As long as I want it, I can have any woman. You don't really think I'm obsessed with you, do you? Don't kid yourself. Just stick to Marion and tell him I'm back. This city still belongs to me."

Debra clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug into her palms.

"You haven't changed a bit," she spat.

She used to think that she had misunderstood him, that he had changed, and that they could leave each other in peace.

Here he was, making it clear that it had been all her wishful thinking. He had always been the kind of man who would abandon everything and use any means necessary for the Nichols Group. Even without Shelia, they were bound to be enemies.

"Joe, see Mrs. Houston out," he ordered. "Also, give her a detailed list of the damages. She is expected to transfer the payment to the company's account within three days."
