"You know about the kidnapping. Those memories would hurt her," he replied.

Erica froze, her mind flashing back to little Debra covered in blood. Such heavy injuries indicated the hell Debra had been through.

"I understand. I won't say anything," Erica said.

"Thank you." Marion walked away.
