Is that why you’re being cold with me?” She could feel heat rising to her cheeks, shame fusing with anger. “Do you even have a conscience, Baker? I was just a girl when I got together with you. And for years, I have kept our relationship hidden—for your sake! Yes, the plan to inject Belinda with hormones was my idea, but it only happened because you agreed to it! You gave the green light.
