Chapter 1969
Mabel had done something that made everyone dislike her. Kemp used force to take the dazed Mabel away.
When Mabel seemed to have understood everything, Vivian's expression softened a bit.
She then continued her walk along the riverbank with Manfred. They quickly put the little incident behind them.
The village was peaceful, and the air was fresh.
A light breeze brushed against Vivian's face, bringing a rare sense of tranquility.
After about an hour, the blocked road had been cleared, and they could continue their journey.
It would still take some time, but they could rest for the night in a town near Graystone. Tomorrow, after traveling most of the day, they would be close to their destination.
The carriage swayed gently, but Vivian didn't feel tired.
However, she was weighed down by heavy thoughts.
"Something on your mind?" Manfred asked.
Vivian nodded slightly, glancing at him before looking down again. "I'm not sure if
that couple is my parents."
Moreover, Viola had given her two choices, and she was hesitant.
"Should I stay?" she thought.
But she knew very well that staying in this unfamiliar, rigid society wouldn't guarantee that love would last forever.
Leaving, she had feelings for Manfred and would feel reluctant to part.
"Don't worry. Whether they're your parents or not, I'll stay by your side," Manfred said, his tone firm and comforting.
His words gave Vivian a sense of security.
Her eyes brimmed with tears, and her nose tingled with emotion. She t back the urge to cry, nodding y in response.

Soon, the night fell, and as they had originally planned, they arrived at the inn.
That night, they had a simple bolognese pasta dinner. Afterward, Vivian washed up and went to bed.
In the middle of the night, half-dreaming and half-waking, Vivian heard Viola's voice calling her name.
"Vivian..."
Her lashes fluttered, and she slowly opened her eyes.
She looked over and saw Viola sitting beside her, watching her intently.
It immediately dawned on Vivian what Viola's purpose was for appearing once again.
"Vivian, have you made your decision?" Viola asked gently.
Vivian's face turned pale as she slowly shook her head. "I don't want to choose."
"Silly girl, you
too on cenou can't be greedy. Just
being here is already rare enough et
You must make a choice." Viola's
è had grown firm.
Vivian took a deep breath, her mind filled with images of her parents, noveldrama
Other, and uncles. She
accept never seeing them again in this life.
But...
Manfred...
She might never see him again.
Just as she was about to speak her decision, Viola interrupted.
