My Love Until the Last Goodbye (Mary and Maximus)

Chapter 1133

Paul had been wanting to bring something up with his grandfather, but he didn't

know how to start. He wanted to do it before his dad came back from his

honeymoon.

"Grandpa Magnus..." Paul said, peeking cautiously into his room.

"Tell me, son... What do you need?"

"I want to talk to you. Can you? Do you have some time?" the boy asked nervously.

"Of course! I always have time for you guys. What's going on?"

Feeling a bit more confident, Paul walked into the room and sat in one of the chairs.

"How was it when my dad first came to you?" he asked curiously.

"Why do you ask?" Magnus replied, picking up on something unusual in his grandson.

"I've been thinking about my father..."

Magnus didn't need to be a mind reader to know exactly who he meant.

"Well, to be honest, it was an awkward moment-but it passed quickly. We had more important things to deal with. Are you thinking about reaching out to Pierre?" Magnus asked, already suspecting the answer.

"Honestly... yeah, I've thought about it. Maybe I was a little unfair. He reached out to me, and I just shut him down," Paul admitted, looking down and clearly nervous.

"Why do you think you should reach out to him?"

"I don't know. All I can say is, ever since I found out he was my biological dad, I haven't been able to shake this feeling. I know Maximus is my real dad, and I love him... but sometimes I wonder: What's my biological father like? Why did my mom get involved with him? Stuff like that..." he said, trying to explain himself the best he could.

"Alright. So what are you waiting for?"

"I don't know if it's the right thing..."

"Well, I think it's worth giving him the benefit of the doubt, don't you?"

"You tell me..."

"That's why you asked me about how things were with your father and me..."

"Exactly."

"Well, kid... If you

want to try

reconnecting with him, we can ask him to meet you somewhere outside the house. You two can talk in a neutra place with security, of course. After that, you'll know if you're willing to give him a real chance," Magnus said calmly.

"Grandpa... would you help me contact him?" Paul asked, a bit embarrassed.

"Of course will! Like I said, you'll go

with bodyguards, but yes-I don't see the problem. It's important to give that part of your life a chance. You can't pretend nothing's happening, when clearly, something is." swhovel

"So... you'll help me?"

"Of course! Just one thing though-why not wait until your dad gets back?"

"Because I don't want to hurt him. I don't want him to think I'm trying to replace him. I just want to talk to Pierre. Clear the air. Maybe find a little peace."

"Alright, son... We'll find that man so you can talk to him. Man to man. But like I said, you're not going alone."

"Okay, Grandpa. I just want to ease my mind a little."noveldrama

"It's not just about peace of mind, Paul. This was bound to happen sooner or later. Better sooner, so you can move on with your life-whatever you decide." "Grandpa... what was your life like without my dad?"

"Terrible."

"Why?"

"Every day, you ask yourself: How is he? What's he doing? It's a hard place to be in, Paul. You want to run to him, tell him everything... but the question is-does he want to be with you as much as you want him?"

"In your case, it was a yes, right?"

"Let's just say Chester did his part... He earned it. Then I worked my way in little

by little until we got to where we are now.

"Look, son, just give the guy a chance to show you who he really is. If you don't like what you see, that's fine-you walk away. If it's for your mental or emotional wellbeing, I'll always support you.

"Alright?"

"Yes, Grandpa. I knew you'd give me the perfect advice-grandfather to

grandson. Thanks also for helping me with this."

"No problem, son. That's what grandpas are for... to spoil their grandkids and help

them stir up a little trouble."
