My Love Until the Last Goodbye (Mary and Maximus)

Chapter 1172

As she pulled back, catching her breath, she whispered softly in his ear the secret she had been keeping for days.

"I'm pregnant!"

Peter looked at her, eyes wide, and pulled her into his arms, lifting her up and spinning her around. In the process, they nearly knocked over a few flower arrangements, but that was the last thing on his mind. He was happy.

He had finally married the love of his life. He had everything he never imagined he'd have: a grown son, two beautiful grandkids, two wonderful daughters who adored him—and now, one more on the way.

Life had given this man everything he'd never wished for but unknowingly always needed. He even had his mother by his side and a big, loving family. He would never again know what it was to be alone.

It was amazing to see how, at that gathering, you could spot the start of new generations-young ones, children, and soon, another baby.

Life hadn't been easy. The decisions we make ripple outward in ways we may never understand-sometimes even touching strangers. They call it the butterfly effect, and this one began the moment a young girl and her grandfather left their country to seek refuge in Valentia...

Across the world, in Hesperia, Valerie, Marcus, Albert, and Caroline were enjoying a calm afternoon aboard the yacht Marcus had finally bought. He had once dreamed of owning one, though back then he had no idea who he'd sail with or why. Today, that answer was clear-they often spent their afternoons adrift, slowly drifting from the coast.

"Val?" Marcus said, approaching with a glass of red wine.

"Yes?" Valerie turned to look at him.

"What are you thinking about?" he asked, curious.

"Things... For a moment, I wondered what my life would've been like if I'd never left my country. Would I have met you? Would we have ever found each other?"

"Have you ever heard of the red thread legend?"

"Yes, you always tell me about it."

"Then what's the doubt?"

"I'm scared that one day I'll go to sleep and wake up as a teenager again, and I'll have never lived through all of this."

"Even if that happened," he said, sitting behind her and wrapping his arms around her, "remember the red thread: you and I were born to be together, no matter what. If we were meant to find each other, we would have-no matter how long it took."

"It's amazing, the journey this story has taken... It's incredible to see our kids stepping into their own stories, starting to carve their own path's. Can you imagine what they'l be like in ten years?"

"Whatever they become, they must never forget the most important goal in life to live. They have to

chase happiness, leave a market

things the best way they

do

can without fear or resentment. They must be free from our past, they must find love, and they must learn how to protect it... I know they'll

grow into amazing people. And if not, we'll be there to set them straight."

"They'll have what we didn't..."

"Exactly. That's our job as parents. And as a couple, our job is to be happy and let them be happy. I love you, Valerie—in this life and in every one after it. Just remember one thing, mi vida."

"If one day you wake up as a young girl again, I'll be out there somewhere. It might take us a few years, but I know I'll find you or you'll find me. Because you and I made a promise. Remember?"noveldrama

"Yes... I promise to love you, only until I have to say goodbye..."
