Rebirth: Solely Cherished by the Devoted Commander

Chapter 132: Grand Opening

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Grand Opening

Today, Yang Hongying went to submit her discharge report. Her education level is relatively low, and her capabilities are poor. Initially, she stayed in the army because of her ex-husband. Now that she has reached the appropriate age, she thought it better to take the initiative to discharge herself rather than wait to be asked to leave.

Just as she left the army, she saw Wang Guihua at the entrance. She couldn’t help but feel her legs go weak. After the last incident, Yang Hongying was even more afraid of Wang Guihua and didn’t dare to meet her eyes.

Wang Guihua saw the delicate and charming Yang Hongying, and her anger boiled within. It was just this kind of vixen that lured her son. Think you can make me accept you? Dream on!

Yang Hongying whispered, "Hello, Auntie."

Wang Guihua sneered, "I can’t bear to be called Auntie by you. Your ex-husband was on good terms with my husband, he should call me ’Sister-in-law’. You should just call me ’Sister-in-law’." noveldrama

Yang Hongying’s face turned pale instantly as if she had been slapped hard. Calling her ’Big Sister’ meant crossing generations!

Wang Guihua continued, "I don’t want to talk about anything else with you. You are a good girl, but I don’t agree with you marrying my son. You’ve been married, even though you don’t have a son, you should understand a woman’s concern for her son. Do you think with your conditions you deserve my son?"

Without caring that there were others passing by, she said coldly, "I don’t care what means you’ve used to seduce my son, I will never accept this, even if it kills me. You better give up. For my son, I am willing to do anything! You don’t need to try anymore. I won’t accept it unless I’m dead."

Yang Hongying couldn’t help but shed tears, feeling heartbroken. She said nothing.

Wang Guihua said, "That’s enough. You don’t need to be so pitiful. You look so good, your family isn’t bad, and you have a capable cousin. It shouldn’t be a problem for you to get married. If you stop seeing my son, I might think more highly of you. But if you’re shamelessly determined to enter our family, haha, just wait and see. I’m not someone easy to deal with!" She finished speaking and left.

Yang Hongying wiped her tears. She was already exhausted because of this matter, and hearing Wang Guihua’s words made her even more determined to leave.

Sun Chan had been waiting for news from Gu Junming these days, but unfortunately, there’s no way to contact him. She made a call once, only to hear that he’s not back yet, so Gu Junming’s situation is unknown. Feeling anxious but having no recourse, she decided to focus all her energy on helping prepare for the inn opening.

Until the day of the Little New Year, Guihua’s inn opened. Guihua made such a big scene with several thousand firecrackers, many people came for the festivities, and both Sun Chan and Yang Liu were helping in the store.

Han Dong had been out for a while, bringing in a large batch of fruits. With the New Year approaching, this purchase was quite large. Traveling back and forth thousands of miles wore him out, and he caught a severe cold along the way, but still managed to come back to help in the last two days.

Seeing Han Dong return despite his illness, Guihua was very moved, patting his shoulder, "Good brother, you should go home and rest. We can manage without you. I appreciate your gesture."

"No need to be polite," Han Dong smiled, "I also want to share the joy. If you become successful in the future, hopefully, you’ll help a brother out." He happened to see Sun Chan as he spoke.

She was with Yang Liu putting up curtains in the room. The beige curtains looked very elegant, and the sunlight outside made her face look even better.

Sun Chan was now cheerful and talkative, unlike the timid demeanor when she first left the village. Who knows what she said to Yang Liu that made them both laugh.

Seeing her blooming smile, Han Dong couldn’t help but show a smile himself.

Guihua laughed, "Good words, okay, I’ll pull you up in the future. Help me out well!"

Han Dong agreed, "Whatever you need help with, just let me know."

"Go mop the floor then. Having a big businessman like you help me mop is an honor!" Guihua laughed slyly.

"Alright, I’ll be the big boss helping you mop." He laughed, rolling up his sleeves.

With the firecrackers finished, the inn was officially open.

The place wasn’t large, but the location was quite good and the price for accommodation was not high, so they had guests on the opening day itself. Yang Liu and several hired staff were busy attending to the guests.

In their haste, she bumped into Han Dong, who was carrying several table lamps, causing him to stagger. He quickly extended a hand to steady her.

"Be careful, beautiful lady, these items are expensive; you won’t be able to pay for them if they break."

Yang Liu blushed, smiled, and nodded, passing by him.

Han Dong spent half the day busy before approaching Sun Chan. She was wiping the wainscoting with a rag.

Han Dong asked, "Why isn’t my brother here? It’s almost New Year, yet he isn’t back?"

Sun Chan smiled, "I guess he’ll be back in a couple of days." Thinking about Junming spending New Year’s Eve outside made her a bit worried, but she understood that it’s the duty of a soldier and there’s nothing to be done.

Everyone was busy when an unexpected visitor arrived at the inn, Wang Dabao.

They all glanced at him and frowned. This guy clearly came with ill intentions.

Wang Dabao was dressed in a yellow suit, a white tie, with a cotton overcoat. His hair was styled to stand upright, looking impressive but his face showed his roguish nature as he scanned the surroundings.

"Who is he?" Yang Liu wondered.

"Sister Guihua’s ex-husband." Sun Chan explained briefly, and everyone frowned.

This guy obviously came to cause trouble.

Guihua strode over, "Do you need something?"

Wang Dabao sneered, "Of course I have something, our family’s opened an inn, how could I not come to see it?"

Guihua’s face turned ugly, "Our family? You have the cheek to say that! This inn was set up by me alone, what’s it got to do with you?"

"When we divorced, you took all the valuable stuff from home without leaving me a penny. How could I agree to that? So, this inn has my share too! It’s only right to help out, isn’t it?"

Wang Dabao finished speaking and sat by the door, clearly intending to stay put. Guihua was fuming and about to rush over to settle scores.

Seeing the inn’s decent size, Wang Dabao was feeling pleased. Last time he went to the Gu Family to claim relations, but it happened they had something else going on, so nothing was discussed; they left instead, leaving him quite disappointed.
