Shrouded Affections Winning Back My CEO Wife

Chapter 1151

Chapter 1151:

Rumors began to swirl that Julio and Eileen had some sort of falling out, and with Bryan backing Eileen, she no longer took Julio seriously and might be aiming to take over the Ferguson Group.

Eileen tossed her phone aside with a smirk and looked at Bryan, who was sitting opposite her.

“They’re making me look like some kind of evil queen destroying the kingdom,” she said with a sarcastic laugh. “I can’t even get Julio to return once he’s busy in the hospital. What an injustice.”

“If you’re not satisfied, then just quit the job,” Bryan replied.noveldrama

“Julio is busy taking care of his wife and baby. Don’t forget—you’ve got a husband and daughter to think about too.”

“Can they compare to my husband and daughter?” Eileen began praising Bryan in various ways. “My husband is my support. I feel secure no matter where I am. Who else would watch over me, taking care of his wife and child? Ouch!”

Before Eileen could finish her sentence, she winced from a sudden pain in her forehead caused by Bryan flicking his finger. She clutched her forehead and looked at him with frustration. “Why did you do that?”

Bryan gave a mock snort and lay down next to her. “What’s wrong? Can’t handle a little tap from your support?”

Eileen playfully punched Bryan’s chest and declared, “Domestic violence is illegal!”

“If that’s domestic violence, what do you call what I do tonight?” Bryan chuckled, unfazed by the punch; it tickled him more than it hurt him.

Eileen tried to pull her hand away, but Bryan caught it. After a few attempts to free herself, Eileen ceased struggling. “It’s nothing. It’s just being playful!”

Bryan smiled softly. “Really? I’m fortunate then, to lighten your burdens every night. Come on…” He tugged at her clothes.

Eileen’s pajamas, already loose, were taken off. The atmosphere in the room gradually became more affectionate.

Eileen had been swamped with work lately, so Bryan allowed her to sleep for three hours.

With several senior executives leaving the company suddenly, the workload had increased dramatically. Eileen and Benjamin split the duties, arriving at the office by eight o’clock each morning.

However, today, Eileen had a meeting scheduled with Harlan to sign a contract. She was due at the venue by ten o’clock, allowing her to sleep an extra two hours.

It had been years since they last met, yet Harlan still appeared the same. Standing beside him was a young and tall man. It wasn’t until Eileen approached them that she recognized Aaram.

He was nearly as tall as Harlan, and his youthful face brimmed with anticipation. As Eileen approached, he deliberately averted his gaze but nudged Harlan.

They exchanged whispers, and then Harlan looked up and saw Eileen. He smiled. “I’m so pleased to see you. Knowing we were meeting you today, Aaron was excited all night yesterday.”

Before Eileen could respond, Aaron scratched his head and said nonchalantly, “What are you talking about? I was just excited about my holiday, okay? It was not because of her.”
