Stella responded, “My birthday is coming up in a few days. I want to have a birthday party. I’ve asked Jarred to start organizing it. You all should come.”

“Organizing a party takes a lot of effort. We’ll go back and take over the preparations when we have time. After all, Jarred might find it too taxing at his age,” Eileen said, feeling that since she and Bryan were Stella’s only family, they should take on the responsibility of hosting the birthday party for her.

She believed in being forgiving when possible and decided not to dwell on past issues.

Stella was delighted. “Okay, then… Thank you.”

“Bryan is your grandson. It’s only right for him to organize a birthday party for you,” Eileen said politely. Stella hung up the call with joy on her face.

In the evening, Eileen discussed the matter with Bryan.

“Jarred has already told me about this. I’ve instructed Raymond to send some people to handle everything. You don’t need to worry about it,” Bryan said as he came out of the shower, still damp. He sat down next to Eileen, his warm hands encircling her waist.

“We should visit the Dawson Mansion before the party. You can’t just show up at Stella’s birthday out of the blue,” Eileen responded.

There was indeed some distance between Stella and her, and it would be challenging for Eileen to move back in and share a home with her. Yet, she was determined not to shirk her responsibilities.

“Her attitude toward you shifted only after the paternity test results. Does that make you uncomfortable?” Bryan asked, looking at Eileen.

“It does,” Eileen said, arching her eyebrows. “It makes me so uneasy that I no longer want to live with you. So, if you ever upset me again, I’ll marry someone else and take Gabriela with me.”

Suddenly, Bryan’s eyes narrowed. He leaned in and kissed Eileen. She gasped as his scent filled her nostrils.

In the dimly lit room, the kiss became more intense. Moonlight illuminated Bryan’s broad back, and Eileen’s slender fingers clenched, leaving scratches on his skin.

Eileen and Gabriela stayed at home for a few more days before Eileen returned to work at the EB Group.

To her astonishment, the head of the Deleon Group, Amoura, had made a move.

“What does this mean?” Eileen furrowed her brows and asked. “Has Amoura been seen around lately?”

Raymond hesitated for a few seconds before suggesting, “Perhaps you could discuss this with Bryan later?”

Eileen’s frown deepened. “Why do I need to discuss this with him?” She had assumed authority over the recent business matters at the company.

Raymond shifted uncomfortably, thinking he should contact Bryan soon to ask him what his plans were. He didn’t want to end up being blamed for any missteps.

Eileen found herself with little to do at the company.

Having handled all urgent matters in the morning, she planned to visit the Dawson Mansion in the afternoon.
