The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2499

"S-Stay away! If you kill us... People will come for you!"

Even as they yelled and screamed, the poachers were terrified.

After all, the men they faced were not some small fry they could push around as they like.

In fact, he was even more savage than they were and could kill them in an instant.

"See, there's just something I don't get." Frank chuckled. "Have none of you considered what would happen to you when you're committing all the evils in the world?

"Bullying the weak, and begging as soon as you run into someone stronger. Humans can really be ironic and change on a whim. And all they care about is one thing: committing evil without reprisals!"

The burly poacher was furious. "Who do you think you are?! What gives you the right to lecture us?!"

"This!" Frank laughed, raising his hand and levitating all the poachers.

At the same time, their arrows shot out of their quivers and struck them!

The resulting screams were deafening but faded soon enough.

Hana looked on without flinching, even giggling. "You really are a vigilante, a protector of the people! No wonder Jada and Moxxi are so fiercely loyal-who wouldn't be, with such a valiant heart?"

Frank smiled but said nothing.

In reality, he was hardly what Hana described he simply refused to let savages like those poachers stay in this world.

Thirty minutes later, several helicopters arrived.

The clearing they were at was not all that wide, so the passengers had to rappel down.

It was an impressive sight, with over twenty of them led by a geezer.

He was already balding and leaned on a rather worn cane. Still, he smiled as he studied Frank before turning to level a lecherous look at Hana. "Aren't you underestimating us, Ms. Pearce? Just one bodyguard? Aren't you worried that we'd just kill you instead?"

While Hana was no national treasure and would not turn heads, she was still a rare beauty. And with her bearing the title of chief and carrying herself like a girlboss, who would not be interested?

Nonetheless, Hana sneered. "Don't stray out of line now, geezer, or you'd bite off

more than you can chew. Mess with this one, and you're really screwed!"noveldrama

She pointed at the corpses strewn nearby, and the geezer only glanced at it briefly before snorting. "Just some average Joes, aren't they? Any of my boys could destroy them too. Nothing to fuss over."

Hana nodded. "Then stay on that high horse all you want. I really can't be bothered if you're that suicidal."

The geezer's entourage was at once furious. "Don't think that we'd hold back just because you're chief! Insult Mr. Quintos again, and you'll see!"

In fact, some were ready to attack, but the geezer stopped them.

"Behave! She's still the chief!" he barked at them before turning and nodding at Frank. "Chale Quintos, vice chief of Zephyr Hall, at your service. What's your name, young man?"

"Lugh Frankton!'

"Lugh... Frankton?!"

Chale looked behind, trading glances with his entourage.

After all, it was the same name as the man who murdered Hal Prana!

"Who are you, really?" Chale pressed.

Frank smirked."I know what you're thinking, and yes I killed Hal Prana!" "What?!" Chale and his goons were stunned.

They were ready for anything, but they could never have expected Hana to consort with the enemy!

"Chief, there's no explanation for this!" Chale growled, withholding his rage.

Hana laughed at his rage. "Really? In that case, I'll be straight with you-Hal deserved it! He was raiding tombs, so is there anyone who can abide by that?

"That's up to us to decide internally!" Chale retorted vehemently.

"Really?" Frank glowered. "Well, killing him is an internal matter for me as well, so you have no reason to come after me!"
