Her frustrations aside, she still had to obey Frank's orders.

With that, Frank left and soon arrived at the hospital and found that geezer named Albus.

Even if he did not catch Albus' name before, patients did not stay for long at tourist spot hospitals, and it was even easier to find Albus since he was in the ICU.

Frank slipped in, examined the geezer, and observed that his vitals were stable.

It was therefore not surprising that Brenda and her gang were not worried about leaving Albus' side just to harass Jada-nothing bad was going to happen to the old man.

As such, Frank did not hesitate to treat him before rushing back to the cottage, where Jada was at her limit.

If she had not seen Frank rushing back from the distance, she would have started beating up Brenda and her gang.

Once he reached them, Frank snapped, "How despicable can you get?! Your father is fine, and you came just to slander us!"

Frank rolled his eyes. "What if he isn't?"

As Albus had been frequently admitted, Brenda was confident that her father would be staying in the ICU for a while. "What if he isn't?"

Frank whipped out a debit card. "There's a million in here. You can have it if he isn't!"

Anticipating Frank's plan, Alda brought the payment terminal device which Toto kept in the cottage.

"Well, at least I don't have to call the bank!" Brenda snorted but hurried to Frank's side.

The onlookers did the same, as they were keen to see what Frank had to be that cocky.

Frank did not hesitate to swipe the card either, and everyone was left gaping when they saw that there really was one million!

"Amazing! You're really doing well despite your youth!" Everyone gave him two thumbs-up, as having a million dollars in cash was far beyond the average Joe.

Brenda smirked. "Don't bother sucking up to him. You're all my witnesses-if my father is still in the ICU, that money is mine!"

The onlookers smirked but said nothing-how despicable could that woman be? This was clearly a scam!

"Don't worry. Unlike you, I'm not despicable!" Frank said and led everyone to the hospital.

They all headed inside together, which startled all the medical staff and patients along the way, as they thought they were there for a fight.

Nonetheless, they were soon outside the ICU, which was empty.

Naturally, everyone was promptly snapping at Brenda, "You said your father's in the ICU, but there's no one there!"
