The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

"Willingly give your position to me" Adam adds as though she had not heard him the first time he has spoken.

"I heard you" She snapped in a boorish manner. "Why?"

"Conviction"

"What?" Alexandra wasn't so sure what she was implying.

"If you come and willingly make this announcement to the pack, it will strengthen my leadership and it would convince the pack even further that I should be the Alpha"

Staring at the man who had thought his idea was in any way perfect, Alexandra wanted to strangle him to death for even daring to make such a suggestion. It was bad enough that he had attacked her to give her position and when. he had failed to kill her and started a rumor that she was sure has cast distrust and doubt In the heart and mind of her pack and another pack.

But Alexandra didn't care about other packs, what they believed certainly wasn't of any use to her. She only cared about Guerrero's pack since it was the home of gossip and rumors and the only place she could end other rumors in other packs.

"So what do you have to say, Alexandra?"

"You fool!" She seethes

"Me?"

"You are a useless man" she adds causing him to glare at her.

"You're good at insults"

"Do you think I would give you that what belongs to me? Do you think I will help you? You have no idea how much I detest you"

"You will give it to me"

"I will never give it to someone as useless as you are. You can never be Alpha Adam, not when I'm still alive"

"Do you want to die then?"

"I will only die when I'm sure the likes of you have been purged from the surface of the earth"

Adam had hoped she wouldn't be this difficult and that somehow they could reach an understanding but who was he kidding? Alexandra would never reach an agreement with him much less willingly give up her position.noveldrama

Most importantly, her last words had assured him that she also wanted him dead along with Olivia and Bernard.

"You will give it to me Alexandra, I don't want to hurt you"

"Do I look scared? I can endure whatever you throw at me, the last time should have opened your eyes, you bastard. Beat me all you can, torture all you want but I would never give you my position!" She snapped, her eyes burning with anger.

Adam saw that she was furious, something he had seen often but this was different as though it held a built-up grudge and hatred that he wasn't sure where it emanated from.

"Read my lips, I would never give it to you nor Olivia nor even Bernard. I would kill you before I let you have your way"

"Strong words"

"I detest you so much you have no idea how much I desire to rip off your heart and eat it, I crave to drink your blood as I crave for a Martini"

"You detest me," Adam said, almost like a question.

"Detest? If only there was a stronger word"

"What did I do?" Feeling a deep hate for him running in her eyes, Adam couldn't understand how it all started.

"You think you can use me and I won't see right through you"

"Use you?" Adam was shocked.

"I know what you did to me, all you did with Olivia. I know you only wanted me just

so you could get the Alpha position. While in actuality you were with Olivia"

Adams's eyes widened, he couldn't believe she figured it out all along.

"I know what you did to me in the past and how you killed me. I also know how you used me for your selfish gain together with Olivia, Bernard, and Veronica. If you think I'm going to fall for such despicable lies again, think again because I will rip out your tongue when you least expect it, Adam Hawthorn"

"I would do to you the same things you did to me so wake up from your deluded fantasy because I would never make you the Alpha nor will I let you use me ever again" she spat, furious at him for daring to suggest such a thing.

All along he had thought she wouldn't notice he was only trying to use her but hearing her say those words shocked him. Alexandra wasn't a stupid girl like he had imagined, she was 100 times smarter and for long had hidden her burning hatred, she deserved some accolades even without him having to say it.

"You think I will not find out you have been taking advantage of me? I will not allow it any longer!"

"Take advantage of you?" This revelation shocked him and he couldn't deny that she was right.

"Yes you bastard or are you going to deny it even when I know about your deceit and evil plans to get close to me just so you can be the Alpha"

"That was why you told me to stay away from the ceremony but you didn't realize how I used your game against you"

Adam could still remember that day, it was something else. He had thought she was simple and fragile but Alexandra had turned around, giving him the worse kind of embarrassment by knocking him out cold on the ground and becoming the Alpha.

And today again, she had shocked him and also impressed him by revealing his thoughts. Sensing Alexandra was not simple and pure like he had always imagined, Adam couldn't help but admire her for once in so many years.

He wasn't up to anything and there was no mischievous look in his eyes just pure admiration and a hidden wave of fear lying behind those warm eyes of his.
