The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Right there and then, Nathaniel could sense she had a plan.

"You have a plan"

"A day from today is the party of Adam Hawthorn as the new Alpha of Crimson pack"

"Lemme guess you are going to make him Alpha"

Alexandra nods. "As much as it pains. I will have to convince the pack that I'm not

fit to be the Alpha. No one else deserved to be the aside Adam"

"That's his plan?"

"My words will stabilise his leadership here in Guerrero pack. The people will get to believe that Adam deserved to be the Alpha and not I"

"Are you really going to do it?" He asked sensing that she had another plan in mind.

"I was maybe. If I had lost you, nothing else would have mattered and I would have lived with the guilt"

A strand of Alexandra's hair escaped and he pushed it behind her ear. "Look I did what I did because I wanted to protect you. I don't regret it and if I have to do it again then I will do it Alexandra because you are my mate"

Alexandra just stared at him, she couldn't get her mouth to move.

"When you left the pack, all I wanted to do was chase you and save you and I did it. Not so much" He glanced around the cell.

"You did great"

"Now I will save you by getting you out of here but first tell me about your wolf" He runs his index finger on her face and she smiled.noveldrama

"What do you wanna know?"

"How it guided you to save me" He stated at her hands

"It told me to lay my hands on you and focus on my energy on you. I was so desperate to save you that I could only think of you. I didn't try to force it but let it flow and that was when you started healing"

"You saved my life Alexandra" He engulfed her tightly. He was right the first day he had met her. She was special, no other woman would cut out to be his mate.

As the memory of his conversation with his pack shot through his mind, Nathaniel pushes it off. He didn't make a mistake side-lining them. They obviously didn't know Alexandra, she was the woman who wouldn't give up on him.

Any other woman may have taken the first cue to run away but Alexandra didn't. She could have saved herself and taken over his pack but she chose to stay right by his side and even healed him.

"You have a gift"

Alexandra nodded. She didn't believe it herself. If it wasn't coming from her wolf wouldn't have believed a single word but it was her wolf and all she said proved to be true. At least Nathaniel was saved.

"Yes I have a gift. I guess"

"You have healing powers. That's something I have never seen"

"Now you are the prove of it"

"I'm proud of you" He kissed her forehead tenderly "Do you know what I think?"

"What is it?" She looked at him

"I think it had to do with the mate thing. It gave you motivation and made your Powerful powers to come to light. You did your best and was so determined to save me"

"Really?"

"Yea" Nathaniel leads her to sit next to him on the ground and Alexandra rest her head against his shoulder.

"Is only a matter of time before they come back here"

"You mean Adam"

"And the guards?"

"Should I break their heads?"

Alexandra laughed. She would want that but it would be a stupid move since they weren't sure how many guards were stationed the door and the trap Adam had laid just in case she was thinking of escaping.

"Adam is a snake. If you attack the guards, it will only make things worse"

"Tell me what we are going to do then Alexandra. You say the word and I will be at your command. You know that right?"

Alexandra didn't doubt that at all. "You don't have to say that" she said and paused for a moment. "I know you will do anything I say but I will much rather you do what you want"

"I want you Alexandra"

Her face flushed and she turns ashamed for him to see her. "Maybe you should get some rest"

Nathaniel smirked and gently turned her head around. "Don't be shy"

"I'm not shy"

"Really? I think I head you crying when I was sick"

Alexandra jaw dropped but she was quick to cover her mouth. He heard her but how? Was he pulling her legs or did he really hear her.

"How much did you hear?"

"Everything" He lied.

"Everything?"

"Yea I heard enough to know that we are not just mate but lovers" He had only imagined what she would do in difficult situation like this. Knowing Alexandra, Nathaniel could tell she wanted to rip off Adam's head and had cried all through the cold nights just thinking she was going to loose him.

The thought of making her cry made his heart squeeze and he frowned which didn't go unnoticed by Alexandra.

"What's wrong?".

"You cried"

"No I didn't" She lied not intending for him to feel bad. This was all Adam's doing,

if only she was careful then maybe she wouldn't have fallen into his trap

"Yes you did" He said firmly and she opened her mouth but on a second closes it and blinked her eyes, glancing over him.

"Please stop"

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to hurt you. I only feel bad because I made you cry"

"I'm glad you're here. I don't wanna cry anymore"

"I don't want you to cry for me let alone die for me but I can't stop that from

happening here. That's why we need to get out of here"

"Do you have a plan?" Alexandra asked.

"Not at all but here I was thinking you had one" He gives her a suspicious look.
