Chapter 898
As Ronan was about to leave, Felix called out, "Wait a second. You don't seem very experienced. Why don't you stick with me until the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition begins?
"Big cities can be full of bad people. Didn't your grandfather ever teach you? It takes years to learn to do good, but you can pick up bad habits in just a day."
Ronan tilted his head, thinking for a long moment before breaking into a smile. "Alright, thanks! I had no idea where I was going to stay anyway. And you seem like a nice guy."
"I seem like a nice guy?" Felix thought. "I am a nice guy!"
It seemed like the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition was drawing out a lot of hidden young talents.noveldrama
After Ronan entered the car, Felix walked over to the unconscious man. With a few well-placed silver needles, he extracted the information he needed. However, what he learned left him conflicted. The man had been sent by Xena's eldest uncle to kill him because Felix had killed two of Xena's uncles.
He wondered how many uncles Xena had. Not one of them seemed decent.
Still, the fact that her eldest uncle sent someone at the early stage of the Blood Realm spoke volumes about his status and power.
On the way to the airport, Ronan spoke casually to Felix after
Out his age. He couldn't contain his curiosity. "Felix, are you competing in the Dragonia Martial Arts Competition, too?"
"Of course," Felix replied. "Who wouldn't want the Lone Paragon?"
Ronan scoffed. "Not me. My grandpa had to beat me up a few times just to get me to agree to come. I wasn't interested until he mentioned the one-hundred-million-dollar cash prize for the champion." Felix was stunned. He had never heard of a martial artist who didn't covet Lone Paragon.
"You do realize what Lone Paragon means, right?"
"Of course. It gives a threefold combat power boost with no side
effects. Honestly, it's not that impressive. I can already trigger threefold power boost by activating my bloodline. The downside is it only lasts ten minutes, and then m completely drained for a whole day.
"So yeah, I don't really care about that technique."
Felix rolled his eyes. Ronan was ridiculously straightforward, to the point of spilling his combat secrets to a virtual stranger. "Listen. It's fine to tell "Listen. It's fine to tell me, but don't ever share things like that with
anyone
else."
Suddenly, Ronan clapped a hand over his mouth. "Oh no! My grandpa said the same thing! I've broken my promise. He's going to kill me when I get back!" When they arrived in Gray City, Felix took Ronan to the clinic. Melissa wasn't there.
After introducing Ronan to Nala and Billy, Melissa's voice called out, "Felix, you're back! Perfect timing. I just bought a bunch of fruit. Let's eat together." Following the voice, Ronan turned to see Melissa. The moment his eyes landed on her, his face went pale. He clutched his chest and staggered back several steps. "You... You!" Pointing a trembling finger at Melissa, Ronan's expression was one of absolute shock, as if he'd just witnessed something indescribable.
"What's wrong with you?" Felix asked, alarmed. Ronan's face was ghostly white like he'd suddenly fallen ill or been injured.
However, after checking his pulse, Felix found that other than an extraordinarily rapid heart rate, Ronan was completely fine.
"Who are you? Are you crazy? You're acting like I'm a ghost," Melissa said, clearly annoyed.
Before she could continue, Ronan
dropped to one knee pulled a ring made of woven twigs from his pocket, and held it up with both hands. "My wife! Come home with me and let's have kids!"
What do you think?
