The Untouchable Ex-Wife

Chapter 2307

Chapter 2307

Renee said seriously, "I would like a plate of pasta with more vegetables and is not spicy. I'm afraid this is my last meal."

Jovan was rendered speechless. Although Renee was being sarcastic, he still went to the kitchen to make her a delicious plate of pasta. He added some vegetables and a nice fried egg for a balanced diet.

"It's done."

Jovan had sent off all the servants of the mansion, leaving Renee with him. Hence, he was the one who cooked the pasta and served it to her.

"Wow, you're fast." Renee wanted to get a chance to run away since she had sent him away to cook for her, but she couldn't come up with any trick.

In the end, she got hungry when she saw the pasta. It was mouth-watering. She was starving!

Jovan was good at cooking pasta, even though he didn't seem reliable. The pasta he made tasted like home-cooked food.

"Give it a try."noveldrama

Jovan didn't say much. He meticulously blew on the pasta and handed her a fork and spoon. Renee accepted it, eager to start eating. An idea dawned on her when she saw the iron chain around her foot. She carried the plate and grinned at Jovan, showing her teeth.

"Buddy, please unchain my foot since you cooked me some pasta. Let me enjoy the food. I look like a dog now, don't I?"

Jovan looked at her condescendingly and laughed in annoyance. "No, you don't. Dogs are more loyal and honest than you. They aren't full of schemes like you."

His words exposed Renee's flimsy plan, humiliating her. She got so angry that she wanted to smash the plate on his face.

However, she temporarily gave in since she was starving. She felt that only by eating could she be strong enough to escape.

"Mm, it's good!"

Renee's eyes instantly lit up when she tasted the pasta.

"This is the best pasta I've ever had!" she praised him sincerely. "It's chewy and tastes good. You even added some vegetables. It's great!"

Jovan felt quite good about himself when he saw her gobbling up the food, but he knew she was cunning and had only said those things to make him let down his guard so she could run

away.

Although her words were fake, he was fine with it. He loved to see her fawn on him but wanted to get rid of him secretly.

Jovan pulled a chair out and sat in front of her. He grinned and said wickedly, "It's great, isn't it? Then, I'll cook it for you every day."

Silent and gloomy, Renee rapidly felt the food taste worse. She could no longer hold herself

back. "How long are you going to keep me here? Don't overdo it!"

"If it's possible, I would like to keep you here forever," Jovan joked.

"Dream on!" Renee stressed her words. "I'll kill you one day."

"We'll revisit it when that day comes. I think... You can't bring yourself to kill me. After all, you owe me one, don't you?"

Jovan felt that he knew her well. She owed it to him, and would never kill him.

Gloominess and oppression gripped them.

Yes, Renee could not kill him but it didn't mean that she did not hate him.

"Okay, stop being serious. Let's watch TV. I guess the financial channel must be very interesting now!"

Jovan faked a smile and turned on the TV.
