A spark appeared in Beth’s eyes. Though she was in a relationship with Clayton, she rarely saw him. Clayton wouldn’t appreciate it if he discovered that she was tracking him. But with this new knowledge, meeting him would be easy. If asked, she could easily claim that their meeting was just a coincidence.

Beth’s spirits rose noticeably at this thought. She quickly commanded, “Then don’t just stand there. Go and purchase a house for me in his neighborhood, and make sure it’s right next door for convenience.”

The butler nodded.

Caitlin shifted, feeling the ache in her lower back as she sat up. The movement caused the blanket to slip down, revealing her skin marked with traces of last night’s intimacy.

Feeling cold, Caitlin drew the blanket tightly around herself. There was no one beside her, yet she could still feel the lingering warmth of his presence.

Remembering last night’s events, Caitlin’s face flushed.

Yesterday, she had believed the effects of the drug had worn off once she and Clayton were in the car. Therefore, she chose not to go to the hospital and asked him to take her back to her previous home.

Her reply might have seemed out of place, but it truly expressed her emotions. She couldn’t recall how she had gotten to this place. She only knew that Clayton had been with her throughout the previous night. She felt worn out yet remarkably happy.
