Mr. Reeves and Miss Nixon cornered him, accusing him of hiding you and demanding that he let you go. But the truth is, Mr. Morgan knows you are better off alone right now. The assistant quickly replied, “Absolutely. Would I dare make something up? But listen, you can’t breathe a word of this to anyone — especially not Mr. Morgan. He made it clear I wasn’t supposed to tell you. If he finds out, I’ll be fired.”
