Stella could tell he didnt plan to elaborate and didnt press the matter any further.

An awkward silence then fell on the elevator as it moved.

Finally, the elevator stopped at Stellas floor, and Matthew walked Stella to the door of her room.

Stella then entered her room, and Matthew turned and left.

When he passed by Sanfords room, he halted, staring intently at the door.

Finally, he continued toward the elevator. Once he stepped into the elevator, Matthew took out his phone and called Fernando.

Come up here for a moment, he said.

In the room, Matthew glanced at Fernando and asked, Have you found anything? While attending the show with Stella, he had discreetly assigned Fernando the task of starting an investigation.

Fernando nodded and replied, I retrieved the surveillance footage from the corridor where Mrs.

Clarks incident occurred.

As he spoke, he opened the video.
