Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1799

Fiona had a restless night, tossing and turning until morning. With dark circles under her eyes, she shuffled out of her bedroom to find Jackson already whipping up breakfast.

He noticed her panda eyes and seemed unsurprised, flashing a knowing smile. “Come on, breakfast is ready,” he said, waving her over.

Fiona wasn't in the mood for pleasantries. She'd spent the whole night wrestling with a puzzle she just couldn't crack. She wasn't lacking in looks, and she was confident in her body and abilities. So why was Jackson acting so disinterested?

It was maddening. Fiona shot him a glare and plopped down at the table, focusing on her oatmeal, too irritated to engage.

But the question lingered, refusing to let her be.

After breakfast, Jackson got ready for work and offered to drop Fiona off at school on his way. The car ride was silent, and Fiona could tell Jackson knew what was bothering her, yet he did nothing about it, which was odd.

Could it be that Jackson had a problem in that department?

As they pulled up to the school, Fiona gripped the car door handle and blurted out, "Are you... not up to it?" Jackson was caught off guard, and before he could reply, Fiona was already out of the car, tossing over her shoulder, “Don't worry, bro. With my skills, I can totally help you!"

Jackson was torn between laughter and exasperation. He'd previously told Fiona that such things were best saved for their wedding night. What on earth was this girl always thinking about?

Fiona took her time walking to class. Her friend Jane hurried over, shoving two bags of chips into Fiona's hands.

"Here, try these. They're a new flavor," Jane said. Fiona glanced down and then eyed Jane suspiciously. "What's your angle this time?"

"Oh, come on. We're classmates.

In truth, Jane had been waiting at the school gates just to see Fiona. And she might have overheard something juicy.

Jane linked arms with Fiona as they walked, saying, “I heard you saying Mr. Jackson might not be... capable.”

Fiona's eyes widened, and she glared at Jane. “What else did you hear?"noveldrama

She was mortified. How could anyone overhear that? Didn't Jackson have any pride?

"Nothing else, I promise," Jane assured her.

Relieved, Fiona exhaled and continued towards class, but Jane's offhand comment snagged her attention.

"I'm telling you, these new chip

flavors are really good. I tried them myself. And since you love chips, è I've got more for you to try later. But hey, Fiona, if there really is an issue, I might have a solution. My family's dabbled in this before, and it was quite successful. These chips are amazing."

Fiona paused, giving her a curious look. “What kind of solution?"

Feeling Fiona's intense gaze, Jane swallowed nervously and said, “I'll bring it tomorrow for you."

“But seriously, isn't Mr. Jackson such a capable guy? How could there be a problem in that area?"

“We haven't been together like that.”

With that, Jane squeezed a bottle of milk too hard, spilling it everywhere.
