His Unveiled Passion

Chapter 500

What Tessa hadn't expected was that Stephen's phone was turned off. He actually had the nerve to switch off his phone!

Hazel had blatantly provoked her. Tessa had been so furious hearing those sounds that she blocked Stephen. And then, he went and turned off his phone.

Well done, Stephen. He had better not regret it.

Fuming, Tessa got into bed and forced herself to sleep. But no matter how tired she was, sleep wouldn't come.

Three hours later, a black Cullinan pulled up outside the villa. Stephen stepped out and walked quickly to the door, pressing the bell without hesitation.

It was Wynn who answered. For a brief moment, her expression was one of surprise at the unexpected sight of him.

From that reaction alone, Stephen could tell she didn't yet know what had happened between him and Tessa tonight. That made things easier.

Wynn asked curiously, "Mr. Jacobson? What brings you here?"

"I came to surprise Tessa," Stephen replied.

Not suspecting anything, Wynn opened the door for him.

"Is she asleep?" he asked as he walked into the villa.

"She should be," Wynn replied.

Outside Tessa's bedroom door, Stephen lowered his voice. "You can rest. I'll take it from here."

Wynn nodded. "Alright. Have a good night."

Stephen knocked on the door lightly.

Tessa, already wide awake, sat up immediately. Wearing slippers, she got up and headed to the door, thinking Wynn had come to talk to her about something.

But when she opened the door and saw that familiar, strikingly handsome face, she froze in place.

A moment later, the anger she had barely managed to suppress came roaring back.

"Tess, I came to apologize and explain in person," Stephen said urgently.

Tessa gave a cold laugh and raised her hand to shut the door. "I don't need your explanation."

Stephen quickly blocked the door

Her expression remained icy. "Leave. I don't want to hear it."

Just then, her gaze fell on the bandage wrapped around his hand. Her expression softened in surprise. "What happened to your hand?"

"I cut it myself."

"To resist the effects of a drug?" Her voice wavered.

The moment he said he had cut himself, she immediately guessed that he had been drugged.

He nodded slightly. Stephen edged sideways into the room, closed the door behind him, and pulled her into his arms. Turning quickly, heo pressed her gently against the door.

"Don't push me away, Tess. I flew back just to explain things and apologize to you. At the very least, you should let me speak before you pass judgment. You can't just sentence me without hearing my side of the story." His voice was husky and low.

Tessa gave a cold smirk and snorted. "Go on, then. Let's hear it."

Stephen recounted everything clearly and concisely. He explained how it began, what happened, and how it ended.

By the time he finished, much of Tessa's fury had subsided.

"I came back because I needed to apologize and explain," he said again.

Tessa's expression remained frosty. "Fine. I'll spare you the death sentence, but you're not getting off without punishment."noveldrama

His tone softened, filled with affection. "Alright. What do you want me to do?"
