No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Parents of students in the building questioned the school.

The landline to the school's office rang off the hook as they demanded an

explanation for the lack of guarantee of their daughter's safety. They demanded to know why the dorm supervisor had been so negligent.

Noelle was soundly asleep that morning when she was woken up by the incessant ringing of her phone. She glanced at the seemingly familiar number. Was it the lawyer from the Merlock family?

After getting out of bed, she walked to the balcony to answer the call.

"Noelle, you orchestrated Samuel's incident, didn't you? Openly going against the Merlock family won't end well for you. You might drag your family into this mess!"

Family? Noelle responded calmly, "I didn't force Samuel to disguise himself as a woman and sneak into the female dorm. Also, he gave me some interesting insights into the Merlock family when he begged for mercy last night."

The lawyer's tone grew noticeably anxious. "You think I'd believe what you're saying?"

"It's up to you to believe it or not." Noelle hung up the phone and chuckled.

She'd said that on purpose to stir things up, knowing the Merlocks would cause Samuel trouble. She wouldn't let that scumbag off easily.

As she checked her phone, she noticed that last night's incident at the dorm had gone viral and was widely discussed on the Internet.

Since Samuel was the captain of Team Yole, the controversy had reached the gaming community. Samuel was thoroughly criticized.

Noelle decided to turn on her laptop and filter the data she'd saved from Samuel last night. She had to find solid evidence of the Merlock family's money laundering to ensure they wouldn't harm her recklessly.

Soon, there was a knock on the door. After Grace opened it, several female teachers walked in. "Last night's incident happened in your dorm, right? We'd like to hear your account of what happened."

Noelle shut off her laptop and noticed Jessica hiding in bed. She was probably too guilty to speak.

Grace was the first to respond. "We never expected someone to be hiding in the restroom. He hopped out of nowhere, and it turned out he'd bribed the dorm supervisor to sneak in."

The teachers turned to Noelle and asked, "Is this what happened?"

Noelle's expression was calm. Just as she was about to respond, Jessica abruptly popped out of bed. Her eyes were red, and she looked almost as pale as a ghost.

With a hoarse voice, Jessica said, "Yes, that's what happened. And Samuel only did it because Noelle rejected his confession. He held a grudge and sneaked into our dorm, and it has nothing to do with us.'

Grace's expression darkened. "Jessica, do you even know what you're saying?"

Jessica shrank back. "I said nothing wrong, did I?"

Grace turned her head and closed her eyes. There was no saving Jessica.

Noelle's lips curled into a cold smile as she listened to Jessica's explanation. She hadn't intended to refute Grace's words or say much, but some people were ungrateful and would never change.

A teacher spoke up. "Noelle, did Samuel come to the female dorm because of a personal grudge between you two?"

"Of course not. There was a water shortage when I returned to the dorm last night. Jessica handed me a bottle of tempered water, and Samuel was already hiding in the restroom back then," Noelle protested.

Jessica screamed, "Noelle, didn't you promise Grace not to expose me?"

"I wasn't planning to, but you're heartless, so I have no reason to stay true to my word. I'm not forgiving either, so why should I tolerate you?"noveldrama

Noelle recounted last night's events in detail but omitted the part where Grace had tipped her off, and the two had set a trap.

Jessica completely broke down. "Noelle, you traitor! You sold me out! You'll suffer for what you did!'

Noelle grabbed a glass of water and splashed it at her. "Wake up, you shameless roommate!"
