Milford stayed put for days, following Barry’s instructions. This worried Presley’s men, who thought Milford might have fled. They rushed to tell Presley about this.

“Idiots! You can’t even keep an eye on one guy,” Presley yelled. “Go search everywhere and find him!”

“Also, look into that girl Milford rescued. See if there’s any link between them.” Presley thought maybe Milford had saved the girl and then blackmailed her for money before leaving Onaland.

One of Presley’s men stayed behind, while the rest headed to the club to dig up more information.

Javier’s unexpected arrival made Presley uneasy. After ending the phone call, she descended the stairs and encountered Javier and Amoura exiting the bedroom. Amoura had become more reserved since Javier arrived. Their close relationship was well-known throughout the company.

Javier appeared cheerful and turned his attention to Presley and Colby.

“Presley, I’ve arranged an appointment with a renowned herbal medicine expert today. You and Colby should get examined by him and try to have a son soon.” Javier had long insisted on having a male heir for the Deleon family. Presley had previously delayed this by using her inexperience with children as an excuse.

However, with Amoura now a member of the Deleon family and taking over childcare responsibilities, Presley began to feel the pressure of having another child. And the child had to be a son.

“Colby has been really busy lately—” Presley began.

“If he’s busy, he can take some time off,” Javier interjected. “The company won’t collapse without him. If he can’t spare two hours for you, who will inherit the Deleon Group in the future? You need to make this a priority.”

Javier’s authoritative manner left no room for debate. Presley resignedly responded, “I see. I’ll call Colby right now.”

While making the call, Presley overheard Amoura speaking to Javier while leading him to the dining room. “You’re always so concerned about their issues. You’ve ignored my feelings since you returned. Come, sit with me and eat…”

Javier’s stern expression softened into a smile. “Alright, alright. I’ll eat with you.”

Upstairs, Presley reached out to Colby.

Colby hadn’t returned home last night. His voice was hoarse, indicating he had just woken up.

“What do you want so early in the morning?” he asked.

“Your father wants you to come back and go see a doctor with me,” Presley replied, her tone stiff.

Colby sneered, “You’ve already had one child. If you can’t have another, is that my fault? I’m not the one with issues here. You can get a check-up yourself.” With that, he hung up.

Presley wasn’t upset. In fact, she was relieved he wouldn’t accompany her. However, just before the call had ended, she had heard a woman’s voice in the background on Colby’s end. Early in the morning, Colby was not alone. It was clear what had happened.
