Chapter 251
Chapter 251:
Jasmine’s POV
DNA results.
I sat up in bed, my legs dangling over the edge. My hands were cold and clammy, my heart pounding so hard it echoed in my ears.
I still couldn’t believe it was true. That I had a brother—a real brother—and the proof was sitting right there on the nightstand. A simple piece of paper, but it felt like it weighed a thousand pounds.
I took a deep breath and glanced at Ryder. He was leaning against the wall, watching me with those steady, stormy eyes of his. His jaw was tense, his shoulders tight, like he was ready to shield me from whatever was coming next.
I reached for the paper with trembling fingers. The edges crinkled slightly as I held it up. My eyes traced over the words again, even though I already knew what they said.
Positive.
I was Enzo’s sister. The sister he’d been searching for.
I swallowed hard, my throat dry. My mind spun with questions, with memories that didn’t fit together anymore. Everything I thought I knew about my life, about who I was, felt like a lie. A cruel trick.
I pressed the paper to my lap and closed my eyes for a moment, trying to steady the whirlwind inside me. My mother—my real mother—had tried to protect me. She’d given me up to keep me safe. But she’d trusted the wrong person.
Luna Anna.
Her name felt like poison on my tongue. The woman I’d called “mother” for so long was nothing but a liar and a thief. She stole my life, my identity, my family. And she didn’t even flinch while doing it.
I took another shaky breath and opened my eyes. The room seemed smaller, the walls pressing in on me. I looked at Ryder, his eyes filled with worry.
“You don’t have to figure this out today,” he said softly, stepping closer. “We can take it slow. One step at a time.”

I nodded, but my chest still felt heavy. “I know. But it’s just… everything’s different now. I feel like I don’t know who I am anymore.”
He crouched down in front of me.
His hands rested gently on my knees. “You’re still you, Jasmine. No matter what the paper says. You’re strong. You’re brave. And none of this changes that.”
His words were steady, grounding me. I let out a slow breath, feeling a little of the tightness in my chest ease.noveldrama
There was a soft knock at the door. It opened slowly, and Enzo stepped in. His eyes were cautious, like he wasn’t sure if he was welcome.
“Hey,” he said, his voice quiet.
“Hey,” I replied, my voice barely more than a whisper.
He walked over and stopped a few feet away. I could see the hope in his eyes, the fear that I might reject him. I couldn’t imagine what this was like for him—years of searching, hoping, only to find a sister who didn’t even know she existed.
I took a deep breath and met his gaze. “So, we’re really siblings, huh?”
He nodded, a small smile breaking through his serious expression. “Yeah. We are.”
