Chapter 1851
Karina was stunned when she heard the news. She hesitated for a moment before looking at Wilfred. "Are you going to visit her?" After all, they did know her.
Wilfred thought for a moment and said, "Yeah, I'll go see her."
Hearing this, Karina couldn't help feeling a bit downhearted, but she quickly shook it off.
"Doesn't this just show that Wilfred is compassionate and values relationships? Caring is a good thing!" Comforting herself with that thought, she brightened up.
At that moment, Wilfred turned to her and asked, "Do you want to come with me? I think you're free today, aren't you?"
As the hospital director, he naturally knew everyone's schedules-especially Karina's.
It so happened that Karina was indeed free that day.
Surprised by the invitation, she pointed at herself. "Me?"
"Yeah. Since you've been accepted into graduate school, you'll eventually study conditions affecting the brain. This could be a good learning experience." Karina was silent for a moment.
She wanted to go, and Wilfred's reasoning was valid. It would be hard to justify not going.
So, after a brief pause, she agreed without hesitation.

Two days later, Karina rode with Wilfred in his car.noveldrama
The girl was no longer in the hospital. Shortly after that phone call, she had been transferred to a rehabilitation center.
Surprisingly, the decision hadn't come from the hospital or her family. It was the girl's own request. No one had expected someone with severe mental instability to have such specific demands, but since she insisted, they had complied. Fortunately, the rehabilitation center wasn't far. A short drive brought them there.
As they approached, a shrill, desperate cry rang out:
"I want Wilfred! Go get him for me! I don't want anyone else only him!"
Karina froze in her tracks.
Wilfred, on the other hand, remained calm, his expression unchanged even in the face of such a frenzied declaration.
When Karina instinctively moved to
enter, he gently stopped her. "Let's hold off for now. Judging by the sounds, she's having an episode. Going in right now won't help en
"It could even provoke her further," he added.
Karina immediately straightened up, her respect for Wilfred deepening.
She hadn't expected to get a lesson so soon after arriving. Watching him, her admiration for him grew even stronger.

Inside the room, the staff was struggling.
The girl refused to let them administer a sedative, thrashing wildly. Even with multiple caretakers holding her down, they were barely managing.
A female nurse, drenched in sweat, called out, "Quick! Hold her steady! We need to give her the sedative before she gets any worse!"
The team redoubled their efforts. After a long struggle, they finally managed to administer the injection.
The effects were immediate. Within minutes, the girl calmed, her body relaxing as the sedative took hold.
At the doorway, Karina peeked in.
Seeing everyone in the room suddenly turn to look at her, she felt a bit self-conscious and glanced nervously at Wilfred. "Can we go in now?"
Wilfred nodded and opened the door.
A nurse with red-rimmed glasses approached them. Her poised demeanor gave her a professional and capable air.
Karina was about to explain the
purpose of their visit when the nurse
turned to Wilfred with a smile. "Dr.
Wilfred, you're finally here. We didn't know what else to do without you."

Her tone carried a clear sense of relief, as if a heavy burden had just been lifted.
Wilfred offered a faint smile in return. "Thank you for your hard work. Judging by what we just saw, it seems like these past few days haven't been easy for you either."
What do you think?
