She's the Campus Prince

Chapter 691

In the car, Bradley turned on the air-conditioning, cooling the two of them down as they settled into the back seat.

Bradley put his arm around Cameron's waist and, with a gentle pull, had her sitting right on his lap.

Though Cameron felt a little awkward, she didn't push him away.

Resting her hand on his shoulder, Cameron asked, "Didn't you go home today? How come you showed up outside my place at this hour?"

Bradley replied softly, "I missed you, so I especially drove back."

Cameron said, "You must be exhausted, running around like this."

Bradley smiled, "Not at all." Even though his body was tired, he still felt full of energy.

Cameron fell silent as Bradley stared at her, his eyes full of laughter, making it hard for her to handle.

She lowered her gaze and asked, "So, what did your parents say?"

Bradley looked down at her in his arms, gently lifting her delicate chin. "Cam, I think we should talk about that later."

"Why..." Cameron had just started to speak when Bradley silenced her with a kiss.

Bradley's kiss started out soft and gentle, then grew deeper and more passionate, containing every bit of his longing and

affection.

He'd just dropped Cameron off at work this morning, and it'd been even less than twelve hours since they last saw each other. But now, his longing for her got out of hand.

Before Cameron agreed to be his girlfriend, he'd been doing everything he could to keep his feelings in check.

But now, no matter how hard he tried, he could no longer control the overwhelming love he felt for Cameron.

Even though he didn't remember anything between them, Cameron could feel the intensity of Bradley's longing for her, because she was almost out of breath from kissing.

After what felt like forever, the kiss finally came to an end.

But Bradley still held her tightly in his arms, as if he couldn't bear to let her go. "Cam..." He called her name, his voice gentle and full of longing.

Cameron didn't reply as it took her a moment to catch her breath.

There was dead silence but for the occasional chirps of insects outside the car. Cameron finally spoke up, getting very late. I should head back."

Bradley couldn't help but smile. "Did I scare you?"

Cameron looked straight into his smiling eyes and shook her head. "No."

She wasn't scared, but she just didn't expect it, just like seven years ago when he suddenly wanted to lock her up

Tonight, Bradley's passion was beyond anything she'd ever expected from him.

Cameron had always thought he was the gentle type, but she never expected him to have such a fiery side.

She almost suspected he wanted to just eat her up right then and there if he could.

"That's good as long as you're not scared," Bradley said, hugging her even tighter. "Cam, my parents already allowed me to stay in Viremont. I have no problem with joining your family now."

Cameron replied, "Brad, isn't it a bit early to talk about that?" Honestly, she'd only brought it up just because she couldn't think of anything else to say.

Bradley said, "I know. I can wait for you to adapt to our relationship."

Cameron looked at him silently. Bradley was now truly patient, like a hunter who knew exactly what he was doing-brave,

clever, and never in a rush.

Bradley added, "Oh, by the way, Cam, when are you free? We should go check out our marital house."

"Marital house?" Cameron blurted out in surprise.

'It's only our third day as official lovers. Isn't this way too fast?' She thought.

Even though Cameron didn't say it, Bradley could still read her mind.

Bradley said, "Cam, we can check them out first. We might not even find the right place, and even if we do, there's still all the decorating, buying furniture and appliances. Honestly, it'll be at least half a year before we can move in."

Cameron blurted out, "No need to go through all the trouble. Your place at Noble Vista is already good enough."

Bradley smiled, "You like it?"

Cameron fell silent again. It wasn't that she liked it very much, but she just thought it would save them a lot of trouble.

Bradley said, "Cam, the villa at Noble Vista is nice, but too far from your office. I'd rather get us a place closer to where you. work, so your commute's easier."

Cameron said, "Brad, you're so thoughtful."

Bradley's smile widened. "So, Miss Yates, are you satisfied with your future husband's performance?"

Cameron was at a loss for words. Then she gently pulled Bradley's arm away from her waist. "Brad, it's really late. We can talk about this tomorrow, okay?"

Bradley fell silent too, clearly sensing that Cameron was deliberately alienating herself from him.

Whenever he was in high spirits, she always seemed to want to keep him at a distance.

'Am I coming on too strong?' he wondered.

Cameron got out of the car, closely followed by Bradley, who walked her to the door of the manor.

Cameron waved her hand. "Brad, it's really late. You should head back."

Bradley nodded. "Good night."

Cameron turned to walk inside the manor.

"Cam." Bradley called out to her again.

Hearing that, Cameron turned around.

Bradley asked, "Cam, tomorrow's Saturday. How about I take you out on a date?"

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "A date? What do you have in mind?"

Bradley grinned, "You know, the usual stuff between a couple-maybe hit the mallnoveldrama

or catch a movie, just hang out together."

Cameron couldn't help but smile. "Sounds good."

Bradley grinned, "Cam, you're really cute in your pajamas."

Cameron didn't reply, but looked down at what she was wearing.

It was just a loose black silk nightgown. 'I'm cute like this? Seriously?' She

thought.

Cameron waved goodbye to him and went inside.

Bradley watched her go, a smile still on his face. Only when she disappeared from

view did he walk back to his car.

But he didn't drive off right away. Instead, he waited until he saw the light in Cameron's room go on, then out again, before finally pulling away.

Early the next morning, Bradley showed up at Yates Manor's front gate, while the Yates family was having breakfast. Jacqueline greeted him warmly, “Brad, good morning! Have you had breakfast yet? Come join us.”

Bradley found a seat and said, “Thanks, Mrs. Yates."

Jacqueline quickly called for someone to bring another plate and flatware.

Gavin shot Bradley a look and mocked, "You show up first thing in the morning just to freeload off us? You do realize you're not officially part of our family yet, right?"

"Gavin, what're you talking about?" Jacqueline gave him a warning glare.

Bradley, unfazed, just grinned, "Gavin, Mr. and Mrs. Yates, I went home yesterday and my parents have already allowed me to join your family. I came over early this morning just to share the good news with you all."

Lance and Amelia were off somewhere having fun alone, so they weren't there.

Levi's face lit up with a smile. "That's good news."

He thought to himself, 'Bradley really is an outstanding guy. As long as he's willing

to join our family, I have no problem

with it either.'

Jacqueline smiled and said, "I didn't expect your parents to be so open-minded."

Gavin said, "They've got so many sons over there that it doesn't matter to them. Perhaps they're just glad to see him marry into someone else's family." Jacqueline shot him a look. "Do you always have to pick a quarrel this early in the morning?"

Cameron looked helpless, while Bradley just smiled and said, "It's fine, Mrs. Yates. I totally get where Gavin's coming

from."

Gavin was at a loss for words and almost wanted to roll his eyes. But since

Cameron was there, he kept his mouth shut and didn't try provoking Bradley

again.
